  1. I had my interview in Santa Ana, CA this morning and I was approved. The IO was courteous, professional and went out of her way to make my wife and I feel at ease. My interview was typical of other posters so I wont elaborate on the details. However, I do want to highlight one point. I entered the US on a student visa several years ago. The IO wanted proof that I attended school. I did not have any on me so I was given a couple of days to get it. I called my University as soon as I stepped out of USCIS and was fortunate enough for them to email me copies of an 'Enrollment Verification Letter' showing I started classes 2 weeks after I entered the US.

I double backed to USCIS with the letter and copies of my transcripts and was approved on the spot. I was given a letter welcoming me and received a text and email immediately after I left the building for the second time.

My best wishes to those of you who are still waiting.

    Good Luck.

  2. Congratulations to all that passed their interview.

I don't know why mine doesn't have any update yet. I am worried because I saw some of you that has the same timeline with me has been scheduled for an interview already. I haven't got any schedule yet. Should I call them or just wait? :(

    KatyF28,

Click on the link below and scroll down to posting #824 (dassy004). Seems like he/she was in the same boat as yours and things worked out. Hope this helps.

  3. Hi Pygst, yes you will get 2 updates:

Ready for interview - email/text only. No letter in the mail.

Interview is scheduled - email/text stating only the date, then a letter a few days later stating the exact time and what support documents to bring.

Seems people that got an RFE like myself skipped the "ready for interview" step. Mine went straight to "interview is scheduled".

    Thank you NikeS.

I guess I can stop checking the mail obsessively.

  4. A couple of quick questions for September AOS filers.....

I completed my biometrics on Nov 10th and received my EAD/AP combo card about 10 days ago (Jan 12th)

Based on your timelines, it appears that there are 2 updates before my interview

    1. My I485 status is changed to 'Ready for Interview'

    2. I receive an email and/or letter with interview date

Is this correct or are there any other updates?

Also, do I get a text/email for update 1 (status changed to 'Ready for Interview') or is this a letter I receive in the mail?

  5. The 50% of October filers who have interview dates are i130 filers. What about those who are adjusting status from k1 who don't file i130 at all. The data on that trackitt isn't including those at all but only counting those filing I130/I485.

I am not very familiar with forms and process related to adjusting status from K1. However, I just went to the www.trackitt.com site and noticed that they have a tracker for I-129F.

The note below it says "Use this tracker if you have filed I-129F to bring your fiance to the United States for marriage to you or to bring your spouse (K-3/K-4 visas) to the United States to complete processing for permanent resident status."

If you think that this tracker will help you, then follow the steps I sent earlier. The only change would be in step 3......you would clock on '1-129F' instead of 'Concurrent I-130 / I-485'

  6. Where is this data coming from? Are you looking at the AOS timeline data? Or just by this specific thread "October filers"

In www.trackitt.com you can get the information the timeline information in one webpage as a grid (similar to an excel spreadsheet). This helps give a snap shot where everyone stands in the process.

If interested, follow these steps once you go to the www.trackitt.com site

    1. Click on 'Green Card Trackers' on top left.

    2. Select 'USA Family - Based Trackers'

    3. Click on 'Concurrent I-130 / I-485'

    4. Click on the Green '+ Show Filters' icon

    5. Pick the filters that best suit you (several options here) and click 'Go'

    6. Once the results pull up, scroll to the right and click on 'Application Filed'. This sorts by filing date.

    7. Scroll further to the right and you will start getting a clearer picture of where each filer stands

    Hope this helps

  7. Yes it should be a combo card as long as you sent in your I-131 form with your I-765 form. Our case did the same thing, approved for AP and EAD but then only EAD information was being updated, and the wording made it sound like they were going to be separate things. When you get your combo card it should say on the bottom something about advanced parole. Hope this makes sense and helps you!

Thank you very much Jaime<3Marco. I received the card today you were right on the money.

  8. Anyone else still waiting for the next step who filed late October to the Chicago office? We had our biometrics on 11/10 and have had no RFEs and still waiting. I know it's normal to have lengthy, just wondering if anyone else with this time frame/location still waiting. Is it 60 days without any change that you have to wait to call?

I sent my AOS packet on 10/10, NOA was dated 10/20 and had my Biometrics on 11/10. No updates since then.....hope this helps
