I would suggest going to the wedding and then applying for AOS/EAD/AP once you're back in the States.

I have 88 days and waiting on my EAD/AP from AOS. I submitted an expedite request based on a job offer 11 days ago and haven't heard anything. Not much of an expedite really.

If you can miss the wedding then I would suggest applying now and if you happen to be one of the lucky ones who get approved quickly, then go.

I work in television and I had a similar situation. I just wrote Freelance Television Producer and then the years I have been actively working.

Us too! February 27th NOA1 here! Starting to lose hope!

Our NOA2 was Feb 27 and have been waiting 204 days so far so you're not the only one waiting.

My case status is blank also. I think this happens regularly on Sundays as they do updates to the site. No need to worry. I even called the automated helpline to check my case status. It still says 'Case was Received' for me.

I'm curious, after visiting abroad for work on the EAD/AP, did you have any trouble getting back into the U.S.? Did they ask why you were working abroad or anything?

I have a job coming up outside the U.S. and will be going on EAD/AP card and I'm nervous.

I work as a television broadcaster (freelance). I've been given a contract to work on the 2016 Rio Olympics. However, I have a few questions before I sign. So I am currently waiting for my NOA2, it should be with us sometime this month if the timelines are anything to go by. If everything goes to plan, I should be over in the US around end of December, January 2016 time when I can marry my fiance and apply for AOS/EAD/AP.

However, will the EAD/AP, if approved, let me travel to Brazil and work for 27 days or is it simply an 'emergency' parole if you NEED to leave?

Would really love to take this job as it sets me up for future Olympics, however, I don't want to leave the US and not be readmitted as I was still waiting for the GC.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the help. I'll go to the medical with my records so far telling them the situation of the pertussis vac and hopefully that will be enough for them to sign off all vaccinations.

Well, Tetanus and Diptheria were both within the last 10 years (7 years ago).

However, Pertussis was 2 months after I was born and a booster 2 months later. When I spoke to the GP and Travel Clinic they said, they don't issue pertussis unless you're a baby and there is no such thing as an adult booster. Are they shoving me off and I need to get another booster for this?

Hi guys,

This is for UK applicant's eyes only. By looking at the vaccinations needed, I have all apart from TDaP (Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis).

I have spoke to my GP and local Travel Clinic and neither are sure of this combined vaccination. I have had all 3 of these vaccinations separately and am up to date. However, I heard a horror story that this combined 3-in-1 vaccination must be had. Apparently, having these vac's separately aren't good enough?

Does anyone know the deal with this vac?

Would appreciate any help.

I just got back from a trip to the states (San Francisco birthday trip, my fiance lives in Orlando). We haven't received our NOA2 yet but I entered just fine.

The POE (LAX) officer asked me a few questions:

- I have an expired J1 visa in my passport so he asked if I was entering on that. I said no, ESTA.

- How often do I visit the United States? Every 5-6 months.

- When did I last visit the United States? August last year

He then took my photo and finger prints of right hand and stamped my passport.

After picking up my suitcase for my connection flight, I gave my customs form to an officer and he asked what my business in San Francisco was so I replied with 'It's my fiance's birthday...' before he cut me off, laughed and moved me on.

Pretty easy entry. No need to stress about.

I'll be visiting my fiancé tomorrow from the UK so I'll post my POE experience on here shortly after.

So I can't seem to get a clear answer from all the sites I've read about this.

We are just about to submit our K-1 visa packet to the Dallas Lockbox. The instructions on the I129F form states we recommend you don't send originals and photocopies instead. However, the US birth certificate states it is illegal to copy and I've read from some forums that it must be a certified copy of the certificate. We have a certified copy of the birth certificate as well as the original. Should we just send the certified copy being as we don't need it back? Or is a simple photocopy of the birth certificate efficient enough?
