  1. I am currently in a big dillemma. So, I am working in US on my approved H1-B employment based visa. I need to get it stamped if i leave US at an embessay. Meanwhile I joined military and applied for Naturalization back in June. I have to travel to India for the month of January 2015 which I planned a year ago thinking that I would have my citizenship by then. It took about 6 months for N400 applicaton to move forward and I had my interview on 12/18/2014. The immigration office asked me to take oath same day. But if I would have taken an oath, then I would have to apply for US passport, cancel of my Indian citizenship and get new Indian visa. The whole process take about a month and half and I have to cancel my travel plans which included my wedding. So, I requested office to schedule my oath ceremony after I come back from trip. Office seemed to be a bit disapponted as they have made arrangements for my oath already, which I understand. Officer did give me a letter that says that I passed the interview and she is recommending me for oath, she said I will receive a letter with new date in mail. Also she made me write a letter stating my reasons to dealy oath ceremony and sign it. I have scheduled my appointment to appear for my H1-B stamped in India during my upcoming trip to return back to US.

What do you think guys? Did I do it correctly? am I going to be in any trouble to get my H1-b stamp or can USCIS deny my naturalization?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
