  1. PASSED PASSED PASSED! I'LL GIVE YOU DETAILS WHEN HE'S BACK IN PUNJAB AND ROAMING FREE. LOL

    Congratulations :) Great news :)

    GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!

    We are approved!

Had interview yesterday October 15th, my wife was approved. They have kept her passport.

We are on our way to Punjab, will write a detailed review later.

    Amazing news...Looking forward to details...congrats :)

  2. I don't mind the fee at all. I just want my husband here! Lol. He already did his fingerprints and all that. And he took all that you said. Not sure about the stamp. I'll ask him again. His interview is 16 hours away...

When we found out the date for the interview, time stood still. Now that it's super close, time is flying!

I encourage everyone to get your documents and everything you need a few days before your interview. Then every day before the interview, go through them with a fresh mindset and see if you need any more. I did that and bothered the ####### out of my husband with my non-stop talking.

Please pray for us! We have been waiting for this day for 1 year and 6 months.

All the best to you and your husband. Please provide an update.

  3. are you absolutely sure?!?? I'm still confused because I can't find anything when I search for "New Delhi embassy visa fee". But when I type in "New Delhi embassy visa fee $165" something comes up!

I would be so happy if there is not a fee... lol

thank you for your quick reply!! :)

I hope you did not misunderstand me..There is a fee of $165 for processing of your plastic green card. This fee is applicable after visa approval only and you can pay it later online

Passport, Interview letter, Photographs, DS-260 Confirmation sheet (Necessary as they will stamp biometrics confirmation on this sheet) and clean hands :P

what to take to the biometrics appointment?

  4. Per your timeline you are CR1/IR1 then you are good. No fee required during the interview. :)

since I am getting responses quickly, I'm going to take advantage! haha! :) a very serious question... again..

is there a visa fee that my husband should worry about? how much is it and did I already pay for that? I know you're thinking, "How should I know?" Well I don't either.. lol

but I am worried. I have read everywhere and it doesn't state how much the visa fee is and if there is one at all (I'm sure there is). It did mention (somewhere) to take some money to the interview in case it hasn't been paid. I'm thinking this is the visa fee? but how come it is so confusing for me. It never said how much the fee is.

    so confused!!!

I know I have asked this question before but I never had any replies So please, help out a sister in need :)

  5. The visa fee is $165 but you dont can pay that after your visa is approved and advisable to pay the fee before immigrant's travel to USA. But this is all for CR1/IR1 if you filed under any other category like K1 or DCF the process is diffeent

since I am getting responses quickly, I'm going to take advantage! haha! :) a very serious question... again..

  6. All of you are awesome! I'm just saying, you guys have been my second rock going through this. And still are. So thank you!

Quick question. For the people who have already gotten their visa, did you take any financial evidence with you to the interview? I remember with great detail that I sent everything to NVC.. from I 864 to pay stubs to the tax return transcripts. My husband is already on his way to new Delhi as I write this. So I need answers fast. You guys are great. Thank you.

If nothing stated in your interview letter, I wouldn't worry. Also depends if you sent the tax transcripts then those are the ultimate. They returned for me even those transcripts before the interview. Also if yours is simpler case without any joint sponsor then I wouldnt worry.

Hope this helps and Good luck!

Please keep us updated...waiting to hear back great news :)

  7. Yes Passport in Hand.

Looking forward to hearing the good news tomorrow from you :)

This is awesome.. Congrats on the visa being issued. That was lightening fast! (I assume you meant passport received).

I can't emphasize enough how appreciative it is for members to share their experiences. Karn, that review is detailed and super helpful. Thanks a ton. Super likes if this were facebook. You're probably the first on this thread with an awesome review.

  8. I picked up passport in two days. If there are no further request for any documents the sheet they give you indicates 3 to 5 days

For the couples who have already received their visa, please let us know how long it takes for it to come. Is it possible to receive it in hand or does it have to be mailed? Which method is faster? Thank you, everyone :)

  9. There is no reason .. They said insufficient evidence or other legal reason

    Nothing more than that.

Co didn't even took a look at docx .. 5 min 5 odd questions and visa denied and file will be returned to USCIS. that's all co said and shut me down

Bunny&Ninja: I am concerned about you. Any updates? I saw someone today talking about her husband's visa denial and that she flew down from US for his interview and how disappointed she was. But I think she said the interview was on 1st October. Wasnt your on 29th? Please do update of any progress and I am sure we all will be happy to hear any positive outcome. God Bless

  10. Dwheels and all fellow VJ-ers... would like to thank you all for the support and answer to questions. Our visa got approved at USE, New Delhi. Wait was about 3 hrs but interview was real short. In fact hardly any questions. Although prior interviewees at the same window were asked a lot of evidence and questions but as soon as we walked to it, the body language of the CO was indicative of approval. And within a couple minutes she pulled out Yellow and White Sheet indicating to pay GC fees and instructions about how to pick up passport. Will write a detailed review later. I being the petitoner was allowed at all stages of the process but never asked anything.

  11. Congratulations :)

interview on 1st october and got approved!!!!!!!! :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest: :jest:

    yeahhhhhhhhhhh

Thank you VJ members and dwheel for your support thank you very much

Congratulations SiVin :) Ours got approved too today:)

dWheels / Saylin and all my fellow VJrs,

Thanks a lot for all your support and guidance. I got my visa APPROVED.

just in 1 hour 45 minutes I am out with a broad Grin in my face.

They didnt ask one extra document. First Indian officer returned one pile of documents back to me and said your husband has sent lots of documents, Just saw my Birth certificate/ Marriage certificate originals. She didn't even verify that

American officer didn't ask anything. simple questions. then he was checking my I130 petition, in which we sent all our chats, mobile bills, FB, photos. Then finally said ' Your Visa is Approved'

    heppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D:joy::joy::goofy:

    Congratulations :)

Visa approved @ Mumbai India. A nervous experience but my wife pulled it through...6 or 7 people before her in the waiting line were denied visa.

Thanks to VJ family.we had all documents and answers to any possible question we might be asked by following vj.

  12. Good luck on your wife's interview Monday. I reckon that you are also travelling from the US to join the interview. Let us know how things go.

Thankyou KierenHny, We got approved :)

Except for the wait, everything was very easy...SO thank ful to everyone for wishes and responses, guidance. We got in at 8:30AM for 9AM slot and were out at 12:15PM. I was one of the two USC spouses present and rest were on their own. All were being asked for documents, albums etc but nothing was asked..right from the beginning I was sure of approval based on CO's body language. She did not question my presence, it looked she was just too happy. Will write a detailed review soon :)

  13. THank you so much. My hubby told me all about his experience and you know what? It took over 6 hours because he was the VERY LAST ONE and everyone had left. They had even left the windows so he got up and said.... EXCUSE ME...lol.... then the interview took her time and carefully squeezed out a lot of info but they had a nice 30 min conversation between the two of them. I think it ended up being a nice time for them both! Anyway...just waiting for that email to pick up the packet.

    WOW... almost over.

    Congratulations Mrs Yadav :)

  14. I am glad she could talk to them. What are the next steps they suggested or you are planning?

Also is the age difference substantial? Did you mention that in your cover letter/story? I doubt that is the reason though. Is she Nepalese?, Indian? or other Nationality?

Today we were told that we were denied because we didn't had enough evidence of real relationship.

However we had.more than 200 pages of evidence I.e. finances together, multiple trips, photos, phone bills, mail, cards etc etc

They didn't even saw those during interview. Seems they were biased coz of age difference and me being nepali living in India

P.s we even sideloaded documents at nvc too.

We are not sure at this point what they wanted to have for evidence. God knows

  15. Bunny: Here is some additional sources you may want to check out if you dont already know, I got this from another forum whose link given below.:

You will need to provide very strong and convincing evidence to prove that your marriage is real. An appeal for an I-130 is filed with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and is done on form EOIR-29. Here is a link to that form:

    http://www.justice.gov/eoir/formslist.htm

  16. I am actually shocked to hear about it...seems unreal... In any case you will have to wait until it comes back to USCIS (Thats what I have seen in most cases and at that time you can send additional documents, evidence, get congressman/senator involved...Do npt lose hope, I have read cases where a re interview can be possible with additional/new evidence.

I am curious..do you think it was work related? Can you share a bit background? Your profile indicates your nationality as Nepal, are you citizen of Nepal working in India or have you acquired Indian Citizenship? Did you both get married in India?

Well they denied my visa and handed me a white slip .. Is there anything we can do in that regards or do we have to wait for USCIS to contact us back

Co didn't asked more than 3 questions and in 5 min handed me white slip. Didn't saw any evidence .
    Not even photos

Any thoughts will be great guys
