I passed the test and my interview went really smooth. I went to the office around 8:40 am and seated in the waiting room. They called my name at 9:15 am and the officer told me there was a new employee attending my interview. I thought to myself, I am the ginea pig I took oath to tell the truth and they went through my papers. He made some changes since I travelled after I prepared the document and he added there and asked why my husband wasn’t there. They asked me to show him a new additional documents and I gave him car insurance card, and the copy of the statement of our car loan. It was pretty straight forward process. I signed the papers with corrections and then he asked me civics questions.

I read “How many members are the in the Senate” for reading part and he asked me to write “We have one hundred senators” for the writing part of the test.

1. What is the name of the national anthem?

2. What is the rule of law?

3. What ocean is on the West coast?

4. How old do you have to be to vote for President?

5. What happened on September 11, 2011?

6. Why are there 13 stripes on the flag?

After everything was done, he asked me to wait for the oath letter. The oath ceremony will be held next Wednesday.

It is perfectly understandable! I hope you can reschedule and everything turns out ok in the end!

It will take longer but I will get my citizenship. They need voters

To be honest with you, I'd reschedule my flight (or postpone the trip altogether) in order to avoid making things more complicated for myself and save myself the frustration and the headache. Plus, you may be given an Oath appointment letter right there on the spot, or even be given an option to attend the ceremony on the same day you are interviewed - if one is taking place that day.

In a perfect world, that would be good but I already bought my tickets and trying to find an alternative way. I don't get to see my family very often so I would chose my family over this

16. What if I cannot go to my scheduled interview?

It is very important not to miss your interview. If you have to miss your interview,

you should write the office where your interview is to be conducted as soon as

possible and ask to have your interview rescheduled. Rescheduling an interview may

add several months to the naturalization process, so make all attempts to attend your

original interview date.

If you miss your scheduled interview without notifying USCIS, we will

“administratively close” your case. If we close your case because you missed your

interview, we will notify you at your last address of record. Unless you contact us to

schedule a new interview within 1 year after we close your case, we will deny your

application.

I just called USCIS to reschedule my interview and I don't know what to expect. I hope someone with this experience would explain what happens.

It is very unfortunate that I received my interview date just two days after I leave the country to see my family. My interview date is on Aug 30 and I leave on Aug 27. I called the USCIS Customer Service yesterday to reschedule the interview but they say it is not guaranteed and they might deny my application, if my request for reshedule not approved. They also say I should a have compelling reason such as hospitalization of a family member, college graduation ceremony, military deployment, death of a family member. I guess they don't care if you haven't seen your family over a year. Has anyone try to reschedule their interview?

I am waiting on my interview date and hoping to get it before I leave for my trip to Turkey. Fingers and toes are crossed

I am sooo happy today. I received my approval letter in the mail. Such a relief!

The NOA number is never listed on the case update system for the I-751. The receipt number is an internal use number only. You will have to wait until you receive your biometrics letter. You will notice it has a different number than your receipt number. That is the number you can use to check your status online and to register for email updates.

How am I going to hear anything form California Service Center? Will they send me a letter or mail? It has been couple of days and I'm starting to worry.

I didn't add copy of state ID and bank statements. I wouldn't provide bank statement from the beginning of our relationship because that bank is not exist anymore. I couldn't find any info about ID copy though, please correct me if I am mistaken. The package arrived today and they got it. We'll see what happens next.

I finally sent my package today. My GC will expire this Sunday so I'm hoping nothing bad will happen. I was very frustrated with the package preparation. Anyway, I am going to put my list here.

I have the same problem here in Seattle. I couldn't find a doctor that he will do it for me easily. They want me to get another examination which i don't need it. I took my results from the hospital in my home country and i have a vaccination card that i took in turkey before i came here. I dont know if it works this time, because i dont want to pay another 200 dollars. What do you suggest?
