On 07/05/2017, NOA1 received in the mail dated 06/26/2017 and i still didn't get my biometrics letter yet, is this normal? I called USCIS and they said if you haven't received the letter by 08/05/2017 then give them a call to put up a request.
My service center is Vermont by the way.

Check was cashed today, exactly 7 days after they received my application. Waiting for NOA1.

My I-751 packet was received on Monday 06/26/2017 and so far the check hasn't been cashed and didn't get the first NOA.
I have been reading the timelines for other members and most of them seemed to have their check cleared within 5 days (even less). Is it possible for the check to take longer than 5 days to be cashed? Any idea what could be the reasons other than how busy they are?
TIP: Try to get your tax returns from the IRS website. Unfortunately I mailed my tax returns that I downloaded from the website I use to file taxes before I knew I had to send the tax returns from the IRS website and I hope I don't get a RFE which will delay the process a lot.

VSC received my petition on 06/26/2017, how long do they take to cash the check and for the NOA to arrive in the mail?
-
you should send your most recent tax returns. if your last ones were in 2012, 2011, and 2010 then you should include them in your form. obviously you can't send tax returns for years you have been unemployed.
-
yes you should do that to avoid any kind of a checklist.
-
Thanks a million. that really helps.

You can leave it blank because you didn't check the option #2 in Part 3 that says "I am sponsoring the following family members..............."
-
yes this is true as family members could be sons or daughters or siblings. so yes leave it blank.

Hello.
I am the beneficiary and my wife is currently living with me in my home country and she doesn't work so she can't support me at all. Her dad will support me.
So i have couple of questions.
1- In form I-864, Part 3 Point #1, Should the answer be Yes or No?
2- Since her dad is the only one sponsoring me and since my wife has to file the form I-864 anyway. Does this make here First joint sponsor and her dad the Second joint sponsor or her dad is only the First joint sponsor?
3- In form I-864, Part 4 (Information on the sponsor), should my wife leave it blank or should she put her dad's name since he is the one who is sponsoring me?
I have included the blank form I-864 in the attachments in case you would like to have a look at it.
I would highly appreciate it if you could answer those few questions and remember that other people may find this extremely helpful.
Thanks a lot. -
My I-130 was received by NVC on December 10th, 2014. My case Number was assigned on January 14th! Best of Luck and God speed through the process.
My case was approved on December 9th and NVC received it on January 14th. but this date January 14th is kinda interesting to me because many people got their case entered in the system of the NVC as received and waiting for a case number and some people had a case number on that date too. so i think that NVC collects data and process them at one time (I am not sure though. That's me thinking out loud)
-
so sad! our case start WAC too uscis said they sent 19th December to nvc and they haven't received yet our 130 approved within 15 days so might be that's why but we are hoping & praying !
Finally NVC received our case. I just called them today and they said that the case arrived at the building on January 14 and also said to allow up to 40 days to assign a case number to the case.
Apparently the NVC was entering cases on their system by alphabetic order as the tier-2 supervisor from USCIS told me.
-
Congratulations man. how did the USCIS tell you when they sent the case to the NVC?
-
I received my NOA2 on Dec 3, 2014. I have a NVC number, but its just been sitting there.
welcome to the club. Is it there at the NVC now or you don't know where is it at just like me?
-
you are absolutely right.
USCIS approved the case in 3 weeks only so i though it wouldn't take long to finish the immigration journey.
-
so what are the chances of having the case lost or forgotten?
so what are the chances of having the case lost or forgotten?
-
I called the NVC and they said they didn't receive the case yet. i called again and they said that they don't have it in the system yet.
i really hope it doesn't take 4 month.
-
Our case was approved on December 9th and it been over 35 days,
USCIS didn't notify me when they sent the case to the NVC and NVC didn't receive the case yet.
I called the USCIS yesterday and spoke to a tier2 supervisor and he told me that it is not logged in their system when they sent it to the NVC and also said something interesting. He said your case starts with (WAC) so maybe NVC received your case but didn't reach the W letter yet since they are processing cases according to alphabetic order, is this really true?
i feel like our case is kinda lost or forgotten somewhere.
I don't know what to do? should i just keep waiting or should i do some kind of action?
if you have or had the same experience please share it with us. -
NVC receives tons of calls every minute. It is very normal for the phone line to disconnect almost 95% of the time. Just keep redialing and eventually you will be able to get hold of them.
I call the NVC couple of times a week and the average wait time is 30 minutes. -
Hello,
Our I-130 got approved on December 9th 2014 and we received the NOA2 (hard copy) via mail on December 28th.
NVC haven't received my case yet. I called USCIS and they said that they already shipped it (i don't really trust the customer representative even though he was a tier-2 supervisor).
I called NVC most recently an hour ago and they said that they haven't received it yet.
Should i worry?
I would be really thankful if you could share your experience with NVC with me.
Thanks.

You don't need a work permit. just show the stamp on your passport to employer and you are good to go!
