  1. I recently came to the USA through IR-1 visa and don't know anything about the process of getting my green card.

Is there anything I need to take care of to get my green card. I read online that since i've entered the USA it will automatically be mailed to me within a few weeks.

However, the guy who works at the social security office said that he thought I needed to fill out some more forms from the Department of Homeland Security in order to get my green card.

Not sure if I need to do something or if I should just wait. Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks.

  2. Just got off the phone with the NVC and my wife's interview was finally scheduled today @ the Casablanca Embassy, Morocco.

Good Luck to everyone else :-)

I have no patience, don't know what to do!!

  3. big? 11 percent,

    as

    you have to be certified

    and

you not write of the certification process

so I think you not study about it, yet.

    Study !

Your reply has absolutely no sense to me.

    Study!

You'll love Austin, it's so relaxed, friendly and open-minded. All the water and hot weather is definitely a big plus. :)

Below is a link to how to get a teacher certification in Texas. It shows how to do it with an out-of-country certification too:

    Thank you!

I think I'll like Austin. You're not the first one to say nice words for Austin.

  4. Hello everyone.

I'm from Macedonia, Europe and finished college 3 years ago to be an Italian teacher. I've got my degree evaluated and according to U.S equivalence is: Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Italian Language and Literature wit GA 3.46.
Planing to move in Austin, TX permanently.
I'm almost 80% sure that I won't be able to find a job as an Italian teacher (Italian Language is not so popular in the US schools) so my second option is teaching Spanish ( i know to speak a little bit, and I'm willing to take the core subjects test ) but the PROBLEM is that I'm not quite sure that I'll get a jobs as a Spanish teacher cause there are many native speakers living in TX.
So if anyone knows how big are my chance to get as job as Spanish teacher in Austin, please let me know.If is not Spanish, please suggest me another subject to teach (lack of ...... teachers), where the chances to get the jobs are good, because all I care is to teach!
    Any opinion matters....
Thank you so much in advance.

I have been reading about this Types of Foreign Credential Evaluation and from what i've read there are a few types of credential evaluation.

I finished 4 years college in Macedonia, Europe to be an Italian Teacher. It is a Bachelor Degree. I'm moving soon to the USA and i really want to get a job as a teacher. If anyone knows which type of Foreign Credential Evaluation i should get i would be very happy. They are all the similar to me, so please if anyone is familiar to this, let me know.

    Thank you.
