  1. Hello all

Find myself in a bit of a oddity,

Having waited for CEAC to change status from Ready to Issued (this being done on the 11/12/14) I received an email to state that my wife's' passport was ready for collection at our local DX depot. (this email arrived on the 15/12/14) It is now 3 days later.

The bizarre thing is we all (my two children and I ) attended the interview at the same time.

I contacted DX, via email, to enquire if all our passports were included in the same package, However they stated that only my wife's passport is available to collect.

    Is this normal ?

Surely it would make sense to send all the items (all the family passports) in one go, especially as CEAC updated the 'issued' status on the same day for all of us.

Anyone else have any experience of this

  2. Nice name 'stressed out' - I feel it very appropriate for my situation, indeed this forum having reviewed a few other posts !!

Further point, the 'ready' status is showing as - you are now ready for interview ?? But we already our interview and the officer said that we needn't have to come back. The system certainly needs overhaul,

I guess its back to the waiting game again...

Any way, best of luck with your journey

  3. Pretty new to this and really stuck on what is happening with my application to immigrate?

In a nutshell, we (family and I) had our interview on the 17/11/2014. The interviewing officer was pleasant and really welcoming throughout, chatted about the rain, NFL, banking (my wife and I both work in finance). He concluded that he saw no issues with our interview and paper work, and that we had ' passed the interview' (we asked how we did).

However, he did give us a Blue slip, a 221g. The officer said that he just wanted to see my fathers bank statements to ensure that we ‘exceeded the poverty line’, and to make sure that what my father had written on the AOS was correct and true (he has a very healthy bank balance). The officer stated that he would keep our passports, with the rest of our case file until the statements were received.

As requested I emailed the bank statements directly to the London Visa Office on the 19/11/2014 (the officer wrote the email address on the blue slip). I received a auto response to state that the email had been received on the 19/11/2014.

Also on the 19/11/2014 CEAC changed to 'Read'y from 'Admin Processing'. and has been stuck on this status since....

Since now checking CEAC the status update date has changed on 26/11/2014, 01/12/2014 and 05/12/2014.

How long does it take to check a few bank statements.

Has anyone else had this scenario? I guess my real question is when will I get my passports returned and when will I get my Visa ??
