Hi Again!
I waited until I received the official receipt letter and then called the USCIS Customer Service regarding this issue of Visa Journey listing our assigned Embassy as being far away in Armenia and not in Moscow. But they said at this point they have no status information on our case yet.. and to wait 30 days or so. This really adds to the stress.... Moscow is only a simple overnight train ride from Larisa's home!
... and the time, stress and costs will be much higher.
Has anyone ever been assigned to an Embassy in a different country when there is a perfectly good Embassy close by in the home country?
Does anyone know how or why Visa Journey at this point would intentionally list our Embassy as being in Armenia when the USCIS has no status info except our account number?
Is there "customer service" for Visa Journey with whom I can speak with? Anyone who has some authority or insider knowledge?
Thanks again ... in advance for any help or any good ideas :-)

......I did find the update button after removing the Embassy designation to 'blank' listing on my timeline/profile. I checked back after I did it and it was gone:)
I received Visa Journey email affirming I had made an update. When I clicked on that same live link, and saw the ' Embassy' block, "Armenia" had reappeared ...it was again there!!
(((. I can't figure it out!

I recently started my timeline. And now we're at the California service Center.
I looked at our timeline profile and it looks great .. except that in the box below ...where the "Embassy" is named.... it says "Armenia" and not Moscow" !!
I changed it twice, but it keeps reverting to "Armenia" !! Can anyone help with this silly issue?

Small world, isn't it?
I grew up in Baltimore, but I'm certainly familiar with Owings Mills, as my grandparents lived there. These days, I left the city and moved over onto the eastern shore, but when he is here we may return to the area. My fiancé is from North-East England I suppose an hour or two away from Leeds?
I love driving the beautiful winding roads of the area...and horses behind the long white fences.
Yes... Leeds is in Yorkshire. I've always been welcome to stay with family when I visit the U.K. :-)
And that's not all..
My Uncle, by marriage was from Newcastle and..
My mother's father... my grandfather, my namesake, was born and grew up in Hull, ....in the Northeast of England.. and also emigrated to
to America:-))

Unfortunately how we think it should be all neat and organized isn't always the best way. I'm sure plenty of people sort it all out into various folders, however they will pretty much tear the whole thing apart. We just stacked everything neatly in order according to our cover letter, paper clipped various stacks and sections, made sure to put the G-1145 on top like the instructions said, and used large paper clamp/clips to keep it all neatly in place. We did put the photos we sent in a plastic sleeve, and the passport photos in an individual labeled baggie clipped to their respective G-325A. Their recommendations are here: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing
Yuna628,
That's pretty much a good compromise, from what you describe...
I'm quite satisfied with that
Thank you again for all your help. I'm putting it all together with clips and plastic bags where necessary and let them rip! haha
btw... My sister lives in Owings Mills (possibly near you?)
My father born, grew up in Leeds. Loads of cousins in north London and in Glasgow;-)
.. Regards,
David & Larisa

Dear Yuna628, Thank you so much for your quick reply!
You have answered my questions exactly as I would have hoped:-)
One further question, if you please...
Wouldn't it be best for me to put all paperwork documents, photos that are specifically related into one specific envelope for each form category? This would "itemize" all docs and paperwork, photos ,etc. as I would do if I was filing all this away into a file cabinet ! Then it would be most efficient for the person(s) opening the packet can easily see if all docs are there and signed... or not there..
Is this how most petitioners send the packet? or not?

The I-134 and additional financial evidence does not get included in your I-129F petition package. These items you should send to your foreign fiancé when their interview approaches - they will present them to the consulate during the interview.
Your I-129F package should include
your electronic notification form G-1145 if you're using one
check to the USCIS
a cover letter
I-129F
G-325A (one for petitioner and one for beneficiary)
passport photo for petitioner and beneficiary
signed letter of intent from both the petitioner and beneficiary
proof of your American citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport)
evidence of meeting within 2 years
any additional relationship evidence you'd like to send
any additional other evidence needed like name changes or divorce certificates etc
it is usually advisable to send a copy of this entire packet to your foreign fiancé for their own record keeping and if they should require it during their interview.
Send your I-129F package to the address listed on this website
Be advised that this is just a lockbox processing facility and not your actual service center. You do not get to choose a service center. One will be assigned to you.
But I'm happy to tell you that all recently filed I-129F's will be routed to the California Service Center, so you should find yourself processed within a few months time.

Hi !!!
I've completed and compiled all the I-129F forms and all evidence, paperwork, photos, etc. required and feel ready to send it out....
But before I do...
My question is .... It's a very thick packet full of evidence of contacts, meeting, photos, etc. and according to the Guide, I'm thinking it says at this point in time I do not need include the I-134 along with IRS income, official signed bank statements and letters from employer.
But as I read that all other forms and evidence Is now to be included with this first mailing and the I-134 forms and paperwork should be sent out separately to my fiancee' and NOT the service Center??
Am I reading this correctly or do I send out everything I've got in this one packet? I really want everything to be perfect as required!
Also, do we have a choice on which service Center to send to? I see that the waiting list times really differ. I was going to send an overnight express to the Express Mail drop address in Lewiston, Tx. But maybe there is a better alternative? I live in Arizona....
Thank you to anyone who can help. At this point, we're feeling the pressure of time..

The red or at interview part is for when u send ur updated letter of intent to her to take to the interview. So delete that out for this first go round.
Yes U send one letter of intent from her and one from you. Just like the guide says one from each petitioner & beneficiary. Make sure the wording read correctly you do have to adjust things like my/her him/my etc. she doesn't need an English translator to type it. U can type it up send it to her to sign.
Best of Luck!
Thank you !

I assume that by "send the LoI" you mean use that address as part of the letter heading, but I'll clarify just in case: you must include both letters of intent with the I-129F and all other petition materials when you send them to the Lewisville address. Not including them at that point will cause unnecessary delays in your case.
Yes, Elizabeth & Fred.... That's the express delivery address I nneded. That's what I'm planning to use. Now I found it on the official website. Thank you very much :-) ... David

Dave,
We are suppose too have the interview this week so I am a little ahead of you. To answer your question about medical. She can get a list of approved Doctors in Moscow from the Embassy web site. You HAVE too use these Doctors and clinics. This is too cut down on the fraud as you should know by now it is still alive and well in Russia. If she gets her appointment at 8:00 in the morning they will have the results for her too pickup by 4:00 in the afternoon. The clinic my girl went to was the one close too the Kremlin. It is used by the Putin gang as is top notch facility. She can go anytime to get her medical done, even now. What I mean she doesn't have to wait to get a paper telling her to go. If she doesn't have a shot record too prove she has gotten certain shots then it doesn't have too be done in Russia for a K-1 visa but when she adjusts her status she will have to get them then. If you need any other questions answered, contact me and Good Luck. Oh you are doing it at the right time as things move very quickly now.......Paul
Ahhhh ! Now there is real clarity on the medical :-) Yes, an 8 am appt would be best. Guess it's most efficient to have them done in Moscow and be done with. I'll have to send her $ by way of Western Union, I'm told. What do these med exams and shots cost?... I have no idea.
I'm copying a whole bunch of our emails and of photos when we met in Aug/Sept as evidence of our ongoing romance ;-) We've Skyped so many times the past year.
Thank you Paul... as you know... I really appreciate the help. I don't plan on doing this again ! ha ha .... David

It sounds like you're confused about how several important parts of the K-1 process work. You should really use the guides on this website (see the tab at the top of the page) and read through the instructions for filing from USCIS several times.
Yes.. You're right I was a little confused. I needed more specific info even the guide. I just didn't want to make any errors and cause a long delay and disappointment for my fiance. This forum fills those needs ;-))

Hi! I've just joined and started filling out K-1 forms and I've sent by mail to my Russian Fiance the Letter of Intent and Form G-325A, Biographic Information form to be filled and signed. She's using a trained and experienced translator so it will be in perfect English and she will mail back to me with the other info requested :-)
I have a couple questions...
The Fiance' LOI asks .. in red ink... for UCIS ADDRESS OF FILING LOCATION. I've found many locations in the U.S. including one here in Tucson and one in Phoenix. So I use my local office here in Tucson when I've got everything needed? There are all "Service Centers in many cities but I read on the VJ forums only large city names. not the smaller cities... so
It also says in red ink below "address" in Italics... "or when submitting for interview". Do I send both mine and my Fiance's LOI along with the initial Form I-129F or hold them for when she requests the interview in Moscow? Does it matter?
Last question... Can't she use her local doctor or clinic to obtain all the medical information, vaccines, etc.? She thinks she has to get the medical workups in Moscow on the interview trip and stay 4 days !
Thanks to anyone who can help us ! David and Larisa

Thanks for replying...
I had previously written that I did click onto Moscow as the Embassy of choice, but when going back into VJ
and onto the same page, it always had reverted back to Armenia. It must be just a "thing" with VJ !
So I'm just going to have faith the NVC will be consistent and send us to Moscow :-)
