Hey guys. I got my NOA2 in the mail. Something is weird though because I got the paper NOA2 in the mail and it says I was approved Feb. 10th, but when I check my case status online it still just says that my case was received on July 28th (the same thing it said for NOA1).
NO RFE's and I didn't get any texts or emails either, so maybe this could happen with others as well?
I should be happy but Iv'e already decided to move to Japan March 12th and marry there. Do you think cancelling my fiancee visa will cause any trouble in applying for a spouse visa in a couple years?

Ohhhhh!
Good for you! You'll be together! Good luck to both of you
Thank you!!
Good luck to you too! It should be close <3

I actually gave up on this whole process and am moving to Japan at the beginning of March. I just can't wait any longer and he just got a good job there anyway.
I'm keeping my fiancee visa going until I get there just in case! If everything goes smoothly I'll be sure to clear off my timeline so it doesn't mess up anything.
Good luck guys!!!

Found through a simple Google search. Google can also be your friend.
I don't like to only trust google but thank you!

My fiancee and me are seriously considering moving me over to Japan instead of him coming to the US. (for various reasons)
It sucks that we waited so long and we would probably get approved soon but there are better opportunities for us there.
Anyway, my question is what I would need to do about my K-1 visa should I decided to move to Japan? I don't want anything to go wrong in case we decide to do a spouse visa in the future.
Thank you for your help!

Thanks! I signed it and told all my friends and family too

Hey All,
I've been 'lurking' on these forums since we submitted out application for the K-1 in December and even more so since we were assigned to TSC. I just wanted to tell you that seeing these initiatives like the change.org petition and writing your congressmen and women are so extremely inspiring. Since seeing the last update on the possible transfers, I'm moved to join these actions because it seems they can make a difference. I'll be writing my New York representatives to support John Carter's office's initiative.
I just wanted to say that even though not everyone posts on these forums, I think there is a huge population of people who come here for passive support and encouragement by reading others who understand the pain and frustration of this process. I know I signed the change.org petition and have badgered all of my friends and family to sign without ever posting on VJ. I think it speaks volumes that the petition has reached 250 supporters in just several days, I have no doubt we will reach the 1000 mark by the end of the month. Just know there is more support out there than you realize, and never stop fighting for change because you have an army behind you that you can't see.

Where is this change.org petition?

I had a dream I was at the TSC and somehow ended up doing a favour for one of the guys and he bumped me ahead and approved my NOA2. There was this one guy whose job was just to randomly pick whoever they wanted to process, and I yelled at him and told him it wasn't fair to do that.
Then I woke up. I still don't have my NOA2.
Iv'e had a similar dream before. I really felt like I had my NOA2 for a minute or two after I woke up

Well, he's in for quite an experience if he truly investigates. It's shameful. We spend the same amount of money as anyone else at CSC or those who are expedited, but we're treated like second class citizens.
I feel the exact same way. It's ridiculous...
I thought we would have NOA2 by now... :'(

It surprised the heck out of us too, I was settling down to a late Feb, early March approval. Obviously for April and myself it is great news but does highlight the inconsistencies in the system. I keep my fingers crossed that this will be the beginning of more August approvals. Good luck all.
Congratulations!

Only expedited cases so far, from what I can see. But June is mostly complete and July is starting to roll, so hopefully soon. We are also right at the beginning of the month so hopefully they process August in the appropriate order.
Oh yeah you are also at the beginning! Good luck to you
-
Hey guys! Just popping in to see if there has been any lucky August filers yet?
Hopefully our time will come soon!
-
I would say you count as an August filer since you got your NOA1 in August. But you're more than welcome to hang out here. I used to hang out in the June thread to keep an eye on when they might switch over to July
These forums are great! Really nice support and nice people to talk to while waiting
Okay thank you! I will hang out in both then haha
-
I'm not sure if I count as a July filer or an August filer but I just wanted to say I'm here and still waiting!
When I call they still won't let me talk to a tier 2 agent.
Congrats to everyone and hope we all get approved soon!!
I love these forums. They really help!

I was told last week that I couldn't call for any "official word" until 5 months had passed. THEN, they supposedly will "help" you.
'
Thank you!

Like some others I haven't heard anything since NOA1...
When are we allowed to start bothering them? is it 5 or 6 months?
Thanks and good luck to everyone. I'm happy to see some people getting approved.
