what happens if I don't hear anything after the RFE time bracket? I don't want to get denied.

So I have a few questions I wanted to ask and a few worries I want to get off my chest. But first let me tell you my story so far.

Back in January 2015 I moved to Maine on my K1 visa and married my beautiful wife. After sending my AoS packet we received a RFE a few months later. After responding to the RFE we got a letter through the post saying how there will be a 6 month delay on the case and that we may not need an interview. So January 2016 comes around and we are hoping for a decision. However we received yet another RFE for completely different information that the first FRE asked for. So we sent what they needed back 2 weeks ago and the tracking said it was revived 02/16/2016 however the status online still says "request for additional evidence was mailed" and we are worried that 1 we might of sent it to the wrong place and 2 that if we did send it to the wrong place and the time expires what do we do?!?

I live in Maine yet the address to send the RFE was a PO box in California? It just all seems so strange and I'm just wondering if anyone else is going through the same or might be able to help.

When does it say you are likly to get it? Also have you had it sent to home or not?

So I passed my interview on Friday! I am super happy! Iv gone for the choice of going picking it up (in manchester) because I heard it may be quicker by a day. So from the experience in this forum my question is do you think it will arive by Friday? I checked today and it said "administrative processing"

For the affidavit of support my co sponsor earns 23,500 and the probity guid lines is 19 ish for 2 people but the co sponsor "partially" supports one of her kids. This makes me wonder if the 125% isn't 19k any more and could possibly be for 3 people which is 24,500, which would put my sponsor below 125%. She also wrote down property owned over 65k which may help but I was wondering if anyone has any info to help. To make that all a little more confusing, on the co sponsors tax return it says she supports someone different, my fiancé (this was before she moved out and got a job) would that also affect the decision? My interview is next Friday so I am getting nervous

I had my medical at Knightsbridge on November 24th. My notice of readiness and ds160 were completed around the same time, yet I still have had no word and I'm starting to worry. Can anyone give me an idea of the time line or what could be going on?

My medical was on the 19th and they received it on the 28th. I have no letter but I emailed them last night and they informed me that the interview is on the 9th. Am so gutted it's not before Christmas but I guess that's just the way it is. They also said the letter was sent on the 5th and is still not here so don't worry the letter is probably on the way.

You can contact them embassy by going here and sending them an email.

Make sure you include your case number when composing the email

@kittentard I don't know exactly. I think my fiance put January 17th. He also emailed the embassy and told them he lives in London and can take any spot they had available. I don't know if that actually made a difference though. Do you have an actual interview date yet, or are you still waiting?

@Lukejillings. I don't think so, but I also don't know. Maybe try contacting the embassy and telling them you're available for any spot they have? There were other people who got interviews after their planned date of marriage, so I think they're just giving what is available. I also saw a post where someone's DS160 wasn't received by the embassy. They had to fill out a new one. I'm guessing you could put a different date then. I would email the embassy for peace of mind.

I put the marriage saying its end of January because I didn't know if it mattered. I seen the part saying when I plan on travelling and I thought that was the part that means more so I out 15th of December I wish I said we was getting married in December now, is there any way of changing it?

So I had my medical on the 19th of November and my case updated on the 28th am guessing that means they got my medical. Iv still not got a letter yet for my interview and it feels so crappy I seen someone say they phones the NVC could I do that? If so what's the number?

It seems as the majority of people have the visa in hand within 5-7 days.....I am feeling pretty confident we will have it by 12/31! So far we have been very lucky.....NVC had our file within 6 days from NOA2 at CSC....embassy had our medical file within 4 days even with one day being Thanksgiving.....and now interview being scheduled within two weeks of medical....guess I am a gambler :-)

I had my medical on the 19th and it says that I had a updated status on the 28th like you. I am going to ring the nvc tomorrow what was the number you used? Fingers crossed I'll get my date real soon
