Well usually it depends on the field office, i got my oath date scheduled after 26 days of my interview and few i have noticed got done less than 15 days.

to all ny applicants who have received their oath letter. How many weeks after is the oath scheduled? thanks in advance. Trying to plan the day off i will be needing accordingly.

"Final interview" they mean check-in process, when they ask you to confirm your answer on the back of Oath letter, and return your GC. It is 1 minute.

Where exactly in the letter you have that note, never heard about it.

My local office is columbus, OH. I have one person post the same messg from the same filed office.

In an additional page it states... Please be aware that you are required to be present for your final interview.

After your final interview there will be short break and you will then be required to return to your seat.The ceremont will begin

promptly an hour and fourty five minutes after the time stated on your appoiintment notice and will last appoximately 60 minutes.

Your patience is greatly appreciated. Then it states of dress code and the questions if you answer YES to provide documentation.

Got my Oath letter yesterday and it is scheduled for June 16th, letter also says please be aware that you are required to be present for your final interview.

Thanks JimmyHou for your valuable suggestions, I would really like to reschedule my date given a chance. I will be travelling to Europe and going through a guided tour so the tickets are non refundable and the trip is costing me close to 10,000 USD.

If your flight is delayed and you miss your interview you will be considered a no-show. USCIS will mail you a letter requesting that you provide an explanation within one month. They may take a few weeks to send the letter and a few weeks to schedule a new interview once you reply. If you miss the second interview, your application will be closed.

If you don't want to risk a delay, you can do one of two things:

- Write to USCIS now requesting a new interview date. People have had varying degrees of success with this; most I've read about end up getting an interview date 1 - 3 months after the initial date, but you may get lucky and get scheduled for the 22nd.

- You can change your return flight and come back one day early.

Just speaking for myself, my first preference would be to change my flight (which will probably cost between $100 and $200 if you only change your ticket) and my second preference would be to leave everything as is and hope for no delays. I guess I trust the airlines and the weather more than I trust USCIS to handle the rescheduling request!

I received my interview notice yesterday shceduled for 21st May 2015 and here is the problem, we are going on a planned vacation starting from May 6th to 20th and interview is on 21st at 8 AM. I was wondering if by any chance my flight gets delayed on canceled i wont be able to make it to the appointment.

Hey sumgo, I remember we had almost exact same timelines up until biometrics, and now I have been naturalized, got my passport yesterday; yet you are still stuck. Just funny how USCIS works. Is there any possible complications with your case?

I would say pretty much we both are going the same way, I filed on dec 6th 2014 and given my biometrics on jan 6th and ever since then i havent heard anything.

My local field office is columbus, Ohio.

I tried calling USCIS couple of times but they said its still within the time period( 5 months for columbus) for processing the application. Once i pass the 5 months they would excalate the call to tier 2 representative to find out whats going on with the case.

I am pretty much stuck after giving my biometrics, i dont think the name check has completed yet.

I have been very patiently waiting past three months after biometrics, just passed the 4 months mark after filing n400.

Hello,

Question if someone could help or give me advice.

I applied for naturalization based on the 5 year rule in mid December, got my N-400 receipt dated December 23, 2014.

I then got the yellow letter on January 8, 2015.

I also completed the biometrics on January 22, 2015.

Since then I have not heard anything.

My case starts with NBC*.... and was probably transferred to the local support center to process. I live in Ohio.

My question is, should I have received any additional forms or interview letter or date by now?

Should I contact the support center to see what is going on?

We will surely need to get bio done before interviews can be scheduled. My yellow asks me for DL and passport. I think it is because I only filled out last 3 year record of traveling. Did you do the same?

I was still asked to get my tax returns, since i filed first year jointly(2013)and the following year(2014) as separate but married.

I also did not include my two speeding tickets that i received in 2014 in the n400 form as the fine was less than 150.

Do you think that would be any problem?

Assuming you are also married to a US citizen, I filled out only three years of travelling outside US after becoming a permanent resident.

I havee read in one of the posts that if you have your biometrics done in less than 15 months, it should be good. The person who posted the comment clearly stated that she spoke to the tier 2 representative and confirmed that you receive a yellow letter if your name check is complete, only then they dispatch the letter and as far as i remember, i have given my biometrics in Jan 2014 for removing my conditions on permanent resident i751

Hello Huy_le, looks like we are still sailing in the same boat, I received a yellow letter as well before my biometrics letter, i was asked to get the tax return documents for the last three yrs, state or DL and all passports, since i dint do a joint filling last year i will have to carry my wife's tax returns as well. Do you think we will have to take an appointment to get the biometrics done?
