I had a question, if applying through a grandparent to meet the residency requirements does the Gandparent must have lived in the US at least 5 years.

Does the grandparent have to be a US citizen during those complete 5 years?

The grandparent who is applying became a citizen in November 2017 as of today thats 4 years and 3 months as a US citizen. and also has been in the US for about 10 years now 6 years as a permanent resident.

Going through a similar process now. Would like to know how things turned out for you.

Going through the same thing . . called NVC was told to scan and send the NOA2.. did that 9 days ago called again yesterday was told to wait at least a month before i can call again!! ####### is going on

I called them today, and when i gave them my USCIS # the employee stated that she couldn't find any record ####### o.O

She told me to scan the NOA2 and email it to nvcresearch@state.gov so that they can assign a number to my case.

Looks like its gonna take longer than i anticipated

Hello fellow Visa seekers

I had a quick question, i received the NOA2 about 45 days ago and no notification from NVC that they sent the petition to the Embassy.

The notice has a specific duration of 4 months. What should i do if the NOA2 expires before my Fiancé receives anything from the Embassy.

I emailed them two weeks ago with no response.

anybody put in this same situation ?
