  1. Yes i do have a British passport. I was told that due to the visa stamp in it... no airline would fly me. As they would incur a hefty fine. So its good to hear that i would still be able to fly back. Also i wondered if you know, Due to me coming back to Uk I was not allowed back as i abandoned my I485. So now i have started a new visa spouse process, is that why i can return for holiday. I dont get penalized. Should i wait for I130 receipt before going or until we have sent in the I129 Spouse visa.

    Thank you

  2. Hi

I wanted to know if anyone can assist me. I Started a fiancee visa 2 years ago and it went through fine, I went to USa got married and started my adjustment of status and advanced parole and EAD. Unfortunately...my mother fell terminally ill before i got the advanced parole. I had to leave without it as i could not get to speak to anyone in uscis. I arrived home on the 25th oct and my mother died on the 27th. Since then i have tried to get back to usa and due to not having parole, my case has been deemed abandoned. so we have started again with the I130 and then will go for the spouse visa so i can get back to my husband in USa. My question is. Can i go back to usa for holiday to see my husband, as i have the fiancee visa stamp in my passport. The visa has expired of course. I was told by a friend that because i have this visa in my passport i would not be allowed back in till the spouse visa is given.

Can anyone p[lease shed some light on this for me.

    Thank you

  3. Hi. I applied for ead and advanced parole on 27/10/2015, I received my approval notice on 26/1/2016. How long is it normal to wait to receive the ead and advanced parole card.. as i still have not got it. It has been 3 weeks now... since the approval letter was received. Is this a normal amount of time to wait? Im getting worried. It does not say sent on my immigration status , just approval sent.

    Thanks

Just because nobody agrees on a Forum does not make that universal law, I have researched several threads and some of the recommendations made have been incorrect but that does not pertain to this thread either way why would making an INFOPASS appointment be dangerous? Can you explain? Nothing is going to be hidden at the very least they could make a judgement call and go from there? Can you point me to a thread where someone has booked an INFOPASS appointment for a similar situation and it has gone wrong?

  5. Was she ill before you left? Did they ask why you didnt delay coming on k1 visa until...later. Please dont think I'm being crass by asking. Maybe need to consult some attorneys for free consults. Canvass some and see what the overall consensus is.

I havent even been able to speak to someone... just got an email saying i had abandoned my case and i need to apply all over again but as spouse.no she was not ill. or i would have delayed...

  6. Hi

I came to usa on k1 visa, got married and was here 7 weeks... applied for adjustment of status and also advanced parole as my mother was ill in hospital. two weeks later my mother was given days to live... it was a sat... i had not received any notification on advanced parole... but could not wait.. could not get to speak to any one.. so left usa to return to uk... was here for just over 48 hours and my mother died... ... so i could not have waited any longer for the advanced parole ok. i would not have be able to say goodbye..any way i have since received confirmation of receipt of i485 sent the usa embassy in the uk an email to say please could i return and they have said no.. i need to start again with a spouse visa this time... is there any thing i can do to appeal. against this decision.... i am devastated... not only have i lost my dear mum... but now i have to wait prob a year before i can get back to states... but the adjustment of status is still going through at present... any ideas please or help..with this. would be appreciated..
