Has anyone been successful in having their Packet 3 letter printed at the information window at the Juarez consulate? My fiance travels to Juarez tomorrow for his interview/appointments and we still haven't received Packet 3 after waiting a month. I thought it would be here by now. I've been told it is possible to print it there but haven't had anyone tell me their direct experience in having it printed.
Hearing something would really settle our nerves!
Thanks.

bullwinkle, which hotel did you stay in? And you would recommend it?

It is an invitation letter that Juarez mails to the petitioner and beneficiary after they receive the papers from the NVC.The beneficiary needs to have this letter for the medical exam, biometrics and interview appointments. Usually the beneficiary in Mexico doesn't receive it in time, but the US petitioner would. Then you could just mail it or scan it to the beneficiary. However, apparently once in Juarez, before the appointments, the beneficiary can get it printed out at the service window if neither person receives it by mail.

Thank you so much. What a relief it is to hear that! He has his interview January 9th and planning on doing the medical and biometrics appointments on the 8th. Of course I am hoping to receive the letter before, but it is so nice to know he will be able to get it there if not!

Another question. If my fiance and I never receive the packet 3 letter, is he able to get it printed at the embassy like I have read other people mention? This is my last worry of the entire process.

Which of the 3 medical offices do you recommend for the exam?

Quick question for those who have done it recently.....
Can you print the packet 3 letter at the embassy service window or not? Someone told me no not anymore and someone else told me yes.
Which is right?
Thanks!

I have quite a few little questions and concerns. My fiance is living in Mexico and he will be going through the embassy in Ciudad de Juarez, although he lives in Mexico City. First, I have a serious concern that he will not recieve packet 3 with the checklist and forms and information ect. because of Mexico's bad postal system. Should this be a huge concern? What can we do if he doesnt recieve it? I think I know everything that should be in this packet but I dont know which forms he needs to send back immediately. Now Im seeing information about a 4th packet?? Im so lost in this area.
Also, does he schedule his own interview appointment? Or do they give him an appointment in one of these packets?? Ive seen it both ways! Im looking at this link: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/MEP%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdfwhich i think is packet 3...and even it confuses me about this. One page says to make your appointment and another says they will give him an appointment.
Finally, doesnt he have to take a "letter" that will be in packet 3 to the biometrics appointment and medical appointment? So it is necessary that he recieves this packet. Or is that not the case? Ive read where he can get the letter printed at a window in Juarez and have all of the appointments there. However, I wouldnt want him to travel there and then have all this confusion. I would rather him do the medical exam and biometrics in Mexico City and then just the interview in Ciudad de Juarez.
Breif summary of questions:
1. What happens if he doesnt recieve packet 3 and what can be done.
2. If he doesnt recieve it we can still do DS-160, and the other I-156 and I-156k, and make appointments. Are there other forms? and are there forms he has to send back to the embassy before the appointments? What more is there to do?
3. Is there a letter in packet 3 he needs to take to biometrics and medical appointments? Or does he just take ID and passport
4. Is there a packet 4?
This is all giving me a headache but I'm sure someone could help me out! And thank you so much! I just got the NOA2 on November 24th and so I am very excited and trying to make the rest of the process as easy and smooth as can be.

I am also worried about this part in the process! It is coming soon for me and my fiance. Im worried that the mail system in Mexico is bad and that he will not recieve the letter, or "packet 3." However, I think it needs to be presented at both the ASC appointment and the medical exam. Correct? So We are both wondering the same thing! What happens if the beneficiary doesnt recieve the packet?

I had been waiting since June 5th and just got my approval yesterday. Mine was also from Texas Service Center and their currect processing time is 5.9 months. Im sure yours will be on it's way soon!

Well just to update this since it seems like nobody really knows or something, they did print it at the window. However, they printed it apprehensivly. They first told my fiance he needed to wait to recieve it in the mail and that they couldnt print it there. My fiance pleaded that he couldnt because he had his appointments the following days. The man at the window thought about it for a minute and then printed it. Not sure if were were simply blessed or if they always will, although they say they can at first.
Take your CDJ case number. With my fiances name he said he didnt see information about our case, but my fiance told him the CDJ number and he was able to access it.
I guess I wouldnt advise people to go this route, but we had been waiting a month to recieve packet 3 and still had not got it. It would have added so much time to the process if we had waited for one of us to recieve the letter before scheduling the appointments.
