Hey guys. Brett. You just said your RFE was received today, right??? You should get your noa2 within a week.
Everyone, keep your heads Good things are going to happen.
Here's a sneak peak into all your petitions post NOa2.
Your packet will be sent to the NVC. Then after 2 weeks you are going to call this number. Once you get thru and trust me it's pretty hard, you will ask for your new case number and invoice ID. Once you get that your fiancé can go to the department of state and fill out the ds 160.
start getting all the documents ready for your interview cause your case is now going the the US embassy in the country of your fiancée.
Then go to USTraveldocs.com. You will fill out a profile. You have to choose immigrant visa. You will see K1 or K2. Choose the one that corresponds to you.
Next you will get to the portion that you have to pay the 265.00. Each country may be different. In my case my fiancée is in the Dominican Republic. I have to send her the money and she has to go make the payment at a banco popular. You will need some kind of print out from the site. Your new case number now becomes handy.
Once the payment is made, the following day you can go back onto the site and guess what? You get to pick your interview date!!! Print that out and tell your fiancée to go to the medical.
About a week before the interview or however long it will take, get an updated police report and other docs.
Interview will happen and visa will be issued in a matter of a few days.
Buy that plane ticket cause your boo is coming for you!!!!!
    It will happen. Just breathe

Hey guys. Just wanted to stop by to give each one of You some encouragement. My case is in transit to the consulate. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I would definitely start getting your documents prepared so that's one less thing you have to do. The process, once approved, moves so much quickly. It's kind of like when Jesus was tempted by satan. Each one of us has or is going through a difficult time. Keep your heads up and this too shall pass. I posted a while ago that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single footstep. Although my journey is practically complete there are still some bumps along the road. It isn't easy. As a matter of fact it's so frustrating. I've even found myself arguing a lot with my fiancée out of pure frustration. I have to definitely take a step back and be grateful that we have come a long way. Of course it isn't easy but the closer we get to realizing our goals the harder it becomes. Don't stress the little things and believe me, each and every one of you will have your day. Chin up and rock out. I bet you someone across the blue desert loves you!!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope all are doing well. So now this is where I'm at. I just got the case number and invoice number for my package (fiancé is in dominican rep). What do I do next? Do I start having her do the ds 160 now? Or do I wait till it gets to the consulate?
In not leaving anything to chance I filled out the 134 and 864 forms for affadacit of support and printouts of all my financials (well above the poverty 125%)
Also typed up letters for intent to marry for the two of us. I heard they may ask for that.
Next week I'm printing up our emails , western unions, etc. for our proof. I also have pics.
I have the original birth certificate for her here and she just got a new national ID card today.
I'll have her get a new police report like two weeks before the interview
Her passport has like 2 years left on it.
Man I'm really bugging out. Just need to know what's next. Please. Desperately needing some advice. You guys all rock!!!

Hey guys. Just got my approval on the 5th and my case was sent to the department of state on the 7th. Last night i recríes the approval in the Mail. Whats next guys? Im so total y lost at this point.
Also, I was told by a couple people that when my fiancée goes to the interview she will need her original b/c and police report. My question is that I have her originals here. They were part of the original packet I sent for the 129. Will she need those originals? Or will they know it was submitted with the original petition? Embassy is in the Dominican Republic. Thanks guys.

It's been a long road for all of us. I was fortunate to have gone to the Dominican Republic and spend 7 wonderful days there with her. I know for some it's been longer and by no means am I comparing your my time with yours. I just want to offer a few words of encouragement. First of all this journey we have all embarked on is definitely that of a thousand miles. But what did Confucius say? The journey of a thousand miles begins with just a single footstep. For manty if us this has been practically 2/3 of a year. Guess what? I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's not an on coming train. I also see the light for many of us. Just like wine, our hearts grow fonder and finer with time in between. Don't look at the fact that it's taken so long, but embrace the fact that soon, you will be with him/her and we will all look back and say this was definitely worth the wait!!!
Lord knows that this has been hard for all of us, but look at the bright side.... At least we didn't start this process now! This too shall pass. And one day you will share the greatest love story with your children and what hoops we all had to hump through to realize happiness. 2015 promises to be filled with awesome memories. Bank on them to keep you motivated. I know it has helped me out.
