My in-laws arrived to the USA on December 24, 2018 from DR, received their Social Security Card on January 2, 2019 and started to work on January 3. 

In reference to the Birth Certificate make sure it’s the one called Inextensa which is the longer version and it’s used for these cases. The one that reads Extracto is used local at RD. We had that problem with my in-laws. 

If you have second sponsor they must complete I864 and I864a

Don’t forget the fees. First fee is the Affidavit of Support for $120 and then the IV fee for $325. You can also start the Affidavit of Support online and save it until you’re ready to send. 

If your beneficiary is from Santo Domingo make sure when you send the birth certificate it says “Inextensa” my in-laws sent us “Extracto” and a checklist was received because of that. Apparently the one that’s says Extracto is use only for local and they didn’t know.

It took me one week to get the letter stating Case Completed and 3 days for my Interview Letter. This was in 2015. 

You must do the 864 and 864a. I’m in the same process. Cc just waiting for interview. 

Our interview was on February 23, visa received 6 says after.

Our interview was on February 23, 2015, received email on Feb. 26 & 28 saying that passport had left the U.S. Embassy and it's on its way to the selected location, tracked passport on VAC which it stated ready for pick up on Saturday, February 28. My husband had passport on his hands next day, Sunday March 1st, 6 days after interview. We chose MegaCentro which is opened on Sundays.

You use his address which is totally different from the pick up location. Also, for zip code in the DR you use 00000.

I went to ustraveldoc, selected track and retrieve passport, and then type in passport #. That's how I found out it was ready for pick up.

Our interview was on 2/23/23015 and my husband picked up his passport Sunday 3/1 from MegaCentro. Go to the ustravel page, select track passport, type in passport # and see what it says.

I also received 2 emails, last week Thursday and Saturday stating that the passport had left the U.S. Embassy.

I just realized you have K1 visa, I don't know if it's the same process. Sorry

it wont allow me to proceed.... when it ask for case # and i put it in it says "no valid record found please validate that you have received notification stating that you case is ready for schuduling"

After 2 weeks of calling VAC 2 to 3 times a day, I was finally able to make my husbands appointment today for tomorrow. Uff!! Thank you Jesus. Now time to pack. Yeah!!

What document is requested for medical result pick up at the embassy in Dominican Republica?

They only asked my husband for his passport. He was in and out, less than 5 minutes he said.

I did got it all figured out. I already made both of my appointment...

I wasn't able to get through with NVC after being in hold for over an hour. VAC told me keep trying, be patient keep trying daily or call by Monday.

Thank you. Yes he did fingerprinting yesterday. I had the same problem our case said not found. But, I called vac and the schedule it over the phone and a few hours afterward the case came up on the web page. I held if fingerprint are not done through vac they will do on day of interview just a long wait.

I'm still unable to make appt via online or phone. Question for you, when you did your husband's profile on VAC what category you chose IR1 or CR1? I know both categories are for spouse of a USC, but you can only choose one.

This process has me traumatic. Im not sure how I havent gone into labor with all the anger NVC and our ex-attorney cause. Thank GOD we got approve for expedite. Now is the nerves with the interview I pray we all get out of this soon. If anything ur husband can get fingerprint on interview date. Vac is quicker a 10 mins thing my husband said.

I know that's why I want him to get it done before interview. Hopefully I can get this taken care of tomorrow. Here I go again, sleepless night. Uff!! We're almost through. Gracias a Dios. Make sure your husband has your complete mailing address with zip code, passport, interview letter, passport pictures, case #, make sure he eats and let him even walk with the confirmation that the visa was paid. O my goodness, I hope those results are ready before interview. They told us he had to fingerprint first then medical exam. Our interview is at 8am but he will be going alone as for I'll be 8 mths pregnancy and dr consider it not stay to travel my dr did provide letter explaining. Im nervous but pray all works out and he is here before baby is born. Good Luck... keep us posted.

have any body done the medical examination at "servicios medicos consulares" instead of "consultorio de visas". I would like to know the price for the vaccines because when I called the lady only told me the price for the most expensive one but my husband does not have a vaccines record .I also want to know which clinic would be cheaper, if consultorio de visas o servicios medicos consulares. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
