  1. anyone from Philippines f3 category PD is 2009 (wendz)

    Hi wendz,

I just want to know if your PD is 2009,does it meant that 2009 you are given a case number?

Also, from 2009,aside from I-130 filing fee, what else had your petitioner have paid?

I cannot find a timeline for F3 and all the fees that needs to be prepared.

Any ideas on this will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  2. So there's nothing a lawyer can do to retrieve the previous number of years?

We are thinking to let him get a lawyer's advise on this.

My friend keeps on asking my idea of how long he's still.

I cannot believe his father wasted time. Now I don't know how to tell my friend

of 21 years if they start from scratch.

Well,I was just glad, I keep on reading here on VJ during my time for guidance on matters

I am not familiar with.I filed all the paperworks all by myself, but with guidance from other

posters here, and I am very thankful for that.

    Anyway,thanks again.

  3. Hi everyone,

I would like to get your idea about this case.

My friend was petitioned by father's wife who is a US cit.

My friend aged out, got married.

The father divorced,I think before he become a US cit.

Now,he's a US cit.He learned that the petition for his son was

    cancelled? it's bec. he divorced.

Does my friend's father needs a lawyer for this? Our calculation

would make my friend wait for just less than 10 years if that petition

    was pursued.

I am not much familiar with this, just so sorry to hear, knowing that my

friend was looking forward for this petition, although he was not able to

stay as single. Now he have kids too.

thanks for everyone's thoughts on this.

  4. My Oath Ceremony this morning, took only an hour

now I'm officially a US CITIZEN!

Looks like I can say that my immigration journey is over!

But I am thinking of how I can petition my son who is now

married,so more likely I would be here on visa journey for

    another time.

Please someone help me update my timeline.

I'll be praying for others that their immigration journey will

be over too.I know how it takes up our time but those efforts will

be paid off once that Certificate is in our hands.

    Good luck to everyone.

  5. Finally had my interview and test yesterday.Everything goes fine!

I arrived 15 minutes before my 8:30 appointment, and have to relaxed

after that many turns following my mapquest guide.

Anyway, to make it fast forward, the lady called my name around 8:45 am.

After being swore,I was told to have a seat. After checking everything what

was on my N-400 form, she started asking me questions.

Who is the "Father of Our Country"?

Name one war fought by the US in the 1800?

Who is the chief justice of the US now?

The house of representative has how many voting members?

We elect US representatives for how many years?

What month do we vote for president?

Those are the only one I can remember then I was told to

write ... George Washington is the father of our country.

then I was told I passed, and she continue checking my files,

and handed me a paper as congratulations and to wait for the time

and when for the oath taking.

I have to wait more than an hour in the lobby for the oath taking

    schedule.This will be on Dec.7th

Maybe as soon as I can have my certificate,I can say,it's over.

    This is for now,

    please,somebody update my timeline.

    Thanks. Good luck to others.

  6. Received a letter today, that says:

    Interview Descheduled by USCIS.

Nov.21st is cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. Will

advise for any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled

    interview information.

I'm just hoping this thing will be done this year.

Please, somebody remove my date. Thanks.

  7. Hi everyone. I have not been on Visa Journey for awhile. My husband and I have finally saved enough money to appply for citzenship for him.

My questions are about the application :

on PART 8 G it asks how many times has your current spouse been married. (me) so do we include our marriage now ..If I have been married once before him do I put 2 or just the prev marriage .. 1???

and on PAER 9 information about your children:

Is that only children he has had? which is 0 or my three children that live with us?

    ON QUESTION ABOUT CHILDREN:

YOU WILL PUT HIS CHILDREN AND YOUR CHILDREN.SINCE HE HAS NONE AND YOU HAVE THREE.YOU PUT THE NAMES OF YOUR THREE CHILDREN.

    HOPE THIS HELPS.

    GOOD LUCK!

  8. Hello everyone,

I have been told that i should change everything that says 5 years in to 3 years in the n400 form if i am filing based on marriage.

    I am confused about part 6 & part 7

Do i have to write my residency and employment information for last 5 or 3 years?

Also Time out side the US is it for 5 years or 3 years?

I just want to make sure before i complete the form.

A lawyer wants 400 to fill this form up for me

    Thank you

Since I filed based on 5 years residency, yes employment

,travel informations were all about with in the 5 years.

  9. Hi, I need some help regarding what to include in filing N400. I am filing base on 5 years of legal residency. I’ve got my GC through marriage but I was divorced from my husband for two years now. I am a bit confused on what to include in my application.

    - Do I need to include a copy of my divorce decree?

    - Do I need to include 5 years tax return transcripts?

    - Any other items I should attached?

    Thank you!

    [/quote

    Hi girlish_51,

I too filed N-400 based on 5 year residency.Although the tax transcript was not asked but I included it to show that I filed tax returns. So far, there's no problem,as I am now scheduled for biometrics.

    Together with the N-400 application:

copy of both sides of permanent resident card

2 colored photograph (with name & A # at the back)

    ck.of $680.00

    3 years IRS transcript

    copy of my divorce decree

    Hope this help guide you.

    Good luck!

  10. Have you tried him do the coughing technique? This is how to get a sputum.

    Cough and spit it out.

Ask your pediatrician,so he will teach you do the technique, this might save you

spending that much.I understand children needs to be assisted in getting

    samples.

Do ask your pediatrician or doctor or other medical practitioners.

    Good luck.
