  1. Congratulations on the interview... hope you are with your loved one soon.. best of luck

Thank you for your good wishes, Maybe due to my poor english make you misunderstanding. I got blue for CCP sake on 1 st Nov. that is not the flying color I wanted.

I am still here waiting for the result of the security check. It is almost 3 months after my interview. Hope I will get some good news from DOS in 1-2 months.

  2. A.Before enter the interview hall

It is 7:15 AM on my appointment letter; I took my daughter downstairs to the next building at 7:30am. When we arrive there it just start to let people in.

There are 6 lines, 3 for immigration, 3 for other. Asked the guard which one is for 7:15, he said all those 3 lines on the left are. So we choose the 3rd one the shortest one.

They allow a case (a person or a family) go into the building in every line each time, so even it seems we were almost the latest one in the lines, but we were not the latest ones into the building. The guard checks everybody’s passport and appointment letter. He gave me 2 blue cards (He has green ones and finished, then start gave blue ones) for me and my daughter.

There is elevator and moving staircase towards the 4th floor. Then an other guard take back the cards, and we are on the way to the 5th, a guard sits there check everybody’s passport again. Then we are on the moving staircase to 5th floor, there area 2 lines for immigration visa and non immigration. A guard came and let us hands in everybody’s appointment letter.

Before enter the interview hall, security check, like at airport, no food and drinks. All through away, take out all electric things: cell phone, mp3, electric dictionary etc, all keys into bags, and take off shoes, waistband all put onto the deferent belt to go through the x-ray. So it is a little chaotic. We didn’t take any food drink, no cell, and no waistband, so very fast, just put bag and shoes through the machine. A guard even blessed the lady before me good luck for her interview after checking her bag, maybe I also need bless from the guard, but nobody said that to me. Papa bear and I prayed and what ever result it will be we will accept it, God knows what we really need and will make the best arrangement for us.

    B. In the interview hall

Then we entered the interview hall, sit and wait. The seats is not enough for so many people, some stand around.

Start to call name and hand in the medicinal exam package. After it you will get a number, it is for the following finger print and interview. But the number just a number for to call you, it is not the sequence.

So the finger printing maybe number 1060 is a lot early than 1001, and for the interview, maybe after 1112, number 1045 still not be interviewed. It is just a number of your case. The broadcast in both languages, for Cantonese they call your name or number in Cantonese, for people from other parts of china. They speak mandarin, sometime it even adds your place before your name, such as: shanghai xxx go to no. xx window, so if you know Cantonese you just listen to mandarin would be fine. First I worried about loose my name or number, then I find I don’t need worry about it.

We are waiting there so many people there, it start finger printing, then a lady announced stop everything, stand up , rise your right hand and start juration in both mandarin and Cantonese. After that everything continue, still call name to hand in medical exam package, to finger print and after a while, interview start.

Finally most of the windows became interview window, and only left no.12 for hand in medical exam package, and no. 18 for finger printing.

Finally it is calling my name, and I took my daughter went to no. 12. the Chinese guy is very nice, he let me open the 2 packages, and hand in, he let me sign on ds-230 part 2 for me and my daughter, didn’t ask me any question, I thought it is a good start, he didn’t ask me any question. Usually they ask some question and make a mark on your case at this step. And it maybe concerning your interview.

Then he let me go to an other window to get a number, the window is a interview window, a man sits there interviewing a family there, he let me to the next window and give me my number no.1112.

Came back to my seats. And wait again.

The toilet at the right hand, there are 2 women’s and 2 men’s; drinking water machine at the left turn, in the no immigration hall. . After we get water, there are no cups. So long waiting, kids start to play in the hall, running and roughhouse, still a lot stand no sets.

It is said husbands cannot company for interview except for some very special days such as last Christmas, but I see at least 3 white and 1 yellow husbands there, I asked one lady how can she come in with her husband, she told me they are short of a document, so the guards let him in.

It is my turn for finger print. It not easy for me to print my finger, the man is very patient; he gave me a tissue, and let me clean my finger and the machine, tried again and again both left and right first finger. Finally it is fine.

Wait again. My daughter and I went to toilet again and again, and we are hungry, some people gone and there are start empty seats. Daughter said she want go for lunch, won’t wait for interview.

Finally it is my turn while my daughter in toilet: No 1112 go to no.25 window.

I have whole bag stuff for my interview; I took my bag and the x-ray photo to the window. Put some files on the sill, and lay the bag on floor. She is a very pretty white girl, later they said she is a new comer. She is very careful.

Something wrong with her mike, almost every question I have to ask her repeat again, and she adjusted the mike again and again. So she kept read and check information from her computer and adjusted her mike during the whole interview process. If she speaks a little farther from the mike then I cannot hear anything at all. She is very patient, too, and sometime she speaks one or two Chinese words.

There are so many person stand outside keep ask us if we pass, smile to everybody tell them pass and go back home. We are so hungry, went to Mr. Xie ask his help to book ticket return to Beijing, we went to Ikea for lunch, I know life will be same after we arrive Beijing. Autumn Beijing with be bright sunshine and clear blue sky.

    D. Accommodation

I stayed at Mr. Xie ‘s apartment. Same building with IKEA. Next building to the consulate. Across a small street.

There is a small play ground for kids and swimming poll, garden on 6th roof, then 2 Pollux building on either side upper 6th floor. The apartment is 3 bedrooms, sitting room big and with good furniture and TV, PC. Fridge, full kitchen and washing machine.

The room I stayed is main bedroom with separate bath room.

We eat at IKE for my daughter’s sake. Mr.Xie invited us every time for meal. But my daughter likes IKEA food. My timeline see my signature

P.S. I use Jame's short cut at NVC to save 2-3 months during NVC process. Thank you every body on visa journey, especially thanks to aussiewench.

it seems I asked a lot of simple and stupid questions here, but every time I got very patient reply. The whole process took me 385 days, it is very fast among Chinese applicants, usually it takes at least 18 months. Thanks you all again.

  3. My wife got approved today!!! i'm so happy i could cry. we filed in ecuador, so her interview was in the Guayaquil consulate. She said everything went well, they just made her wait almost 5 hours, barely asked her any questions, and spent most of the time reviewing the papers. Please don't hesitate to ask us questions. Thank the lord!!

    (F) Congrats!(F)

I am waiting for my name check. Hope my interview as lucky as your wife's.

  4. Seems like you are flying at NVC stage.. You can self generate the barcoded coversheet for DS230 and send it back to NVC.

    Thank you all very much!

I followed the guides step by step and it seems work well, from I got the information from e-mail p2 approved till NVC send out DS-230 2 months,March 15th to May 15th.

Already everything prepareed for p3 a long time ago, and my husband brought them back to america when he return on 11th May, he said he will mail out today.

I am from China, and there is stil a very long way to go from p3-p4. Some times the case will laying between costoum and consulate 2-3 months, and name check is a long queue too, as China is a big population country.

Anyway it will move then finally it will be there.

  5. I used James shortcut and my case was completed in 6 weeks

    What's "James shortcut"?

    Here it is:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=117

When i email NVC they really replied3 to 5 days. Try to put your case number as your subject.. I always write this as my subject,.. INQUIRY on the status of MNL200658 - - - -

then i will write what i want to ask them. Then when they emailed back my questions are really answered.

    try that maybe......GOD BLESS

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I send 2 mails today to ask about mine and my daughter's case today, hope get reply soon.

  6. I am not expert, just fill in it for me and my daughter and still didn't send them out. I followed the example here :

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...m&page=examples

question 20 ,just town province and country.

stepsons(age 4) form, 19 # and 21 N/A, 19 ask about ur son's children, he won't have since hse is only 4, and 21 ask if his child or hiw wife will company him, also since he is only 4 years old, so both N/A, his father 's name only in 15# and 16#.

  7. I hope everyone doing great today. I just called NVC and they informed that my case has completed yesterday with grace of Almighty (Thanks Lord) :star::star: and now they will send papers to Islamabad within few weeks (hopefully shortly).

Wish you all best of luck in your future endeavors.

    Congrats!

I read your timeline carefully, you did great job!

Hope I wil be as lucky as your are.

  8. hello to everybody...when i'm calling the automated system the message of my case is still the same? it never updated...i received the AOS BILL and IV bill and i send it already but still the message is "the IV Fee Bill was being generated last march 6...how come is it like that?

Did you try operator? Ask him /her what happen with your information in the autimated system, ask how often it be updated?

  9. Good news today!

Called NVC just now, NVC accepted both AOS 70$ & DS-3032, they would mail I-864 out in 2 to 4 weeks.

The call and e-mail finally works, and I guess the mail I send out the day before yesterday must still on the way to NVC.

Thank you all for your help, hope Next step goes smoothly.

Good luck to you all! (L)

  10. I sent choice of agent information by email to NVC. They have not reply me for more than 5 business days, that is why I sent an email asking about status of my choice of agent. They replied me in five business days after second email.

If I were you I would send an email to them reminding about your choice of agent.

    good luck

    Alenushka,

Thank for your information . I just send out 2 mails for cr1 adn cr2 to remind about our choice of agent. Got same 2 auto responds again. hope they will reply me in 5 business days.

Maybe I wrote 2 case numbers together made me fail. But I fell a little stupid to write 2 almost same e-mails to an address. The only diffrence is the case number and name.

  11. What you may find is because of the automated system going down for a while, they were inundated with emails. I sent one around the same time as you (for different reason) and received the same response. I suggest sending it to them again. If you dont receive anything from them you, or confirmation of them receiving it if you call them, you will have to do this another way. Bears, are you the USC? If so it is your husband that needs to send NVC the email for Choice of Agent. Perhaps that is the issue. Also, have you received your copy of the DS-3032 Choice of Agent form yet?

Thank you for your reply, I am not USC,my husband is, so it is me to send out the choice of agent for my daughter's cr2 and myself cr1.

I send an other e-mail by an other id this mornign after get that reply, hope this time it works.

I got an same auto response mail as last tiem I got.

Yes, my hubby already got the AOS bill and the form 3020,but I stil get nothing. It is said NVC send 3020 to bothsides, me and my husband. I s that right?

Shall I wait for the 2nd e-mail be responsed in the future days or make 3020 by Jam's then mail it out?

    Thank you again.

  12. I send this mail to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. But today I called and got a reply said changed address, and he said to send it again. He said make sure u include the case numbers,he is nice and helpful, he told me the new e-mail id, but i find it is same as the one i send to.AND I ALREADY INCLUDING THE FULL CASE NUMBER!

I feel so bad, my hubby already retired at the end of march and just wait for finish NVC process so he can come, now his coming have to de delayed again, I cannot help my tears....

  13. I used it. I didn't have any problems. Everything worked exactly as he said. I also used the email route for Choice of Agent - NVS accepted it in two days and we didn't need to wait for the letter or send one back.

I SEND THE E-MAIL ON 6TH APRIL EARLY MORNING , AND GOT AN AUTO RESPONSE ON 6 Apr 2006 06:20:58 , SAID :

The NVC has received your e-mail inquiry. We are currently processing in the order of receipt. Please allow 3-5 business days for a response.

    Thank you for your patience.

    National Visa Center

BUT TIL NOW I HAVE NO ANY ACCEPT INFORMATION. I HEARD OTHERS WHO USE E-MAIL LIKE YOU ALMOST EVEYBODY GOT IT IN 2 DAYS.

SHALL I WAIT ONE DAY MORE OR SHALL I CALL nvc ASK, OR SEND AN OTHER E-MAIL?

    THANK YOU.
