  1. Hello,

I have some questions, but first I will explain more about our case. My husband went last year for his Medical Exam and Interview on the 17-19 of November. Due to some things at his exam, he was found ineligible for his Visa under denial code 1A4 (drug user or abuser) and 9B2 (unlawful presence in the USA for more than 1 year). We have an approved I-601A waiver that forgives the unlawful presence. My husband was told he had to wait in Mexico for a year and could do a new exam and interview December 2015 (this month). His DS-260 was unlocked for us to update. I am working on that now.

My question is, what else might my husband need to update or take to the exam and interview?

Will he need to take the sponsor and co sponsor tax return papers for 2014 to the interview? Originals/copies?

I've read something about police certificates? Will he need one of those? If so would it just be from Mexico since he's been there for the past year?

On the DS-260, it asks for Supervisors Given and Surnames on work history, does it have to be their full name (possibly 2 last names) or just First and 1 last?

Our DS-260 says paid and expires In January, will we have to pay anything for that again?

Any other information I should be aware of?

They didn't give him back and of his papers (Birth certificates, marriage license, etc.) at his last interview. Would the consulate still have that then?

Thanks so much for any help y'all can offer! I am stressing and worried so much.

I have tried adding a picture of the paper my husband received at his interview with the denials and instructions. It's in Spanish however.

  2. Hello,

I have a question pertaining to a question on form DS-260. On the form, where you fill out previous/past employer information, it asks for the Supervisor's Given and Surnames. It it required that their whole name be there, or just a First and one Last name? All (Ex: Margaret Anne Smith Jones) First and 1 Last (Ex: Margaret Smith) My husband is currently in Mexico and we have to update the form before he can reapply for a new exam and interview. His previous supervisors would probably have 2 last names, as they're Hispanic. I'm having a hard time getting their full name though. I'm stressing out about it! Can somebody tell me if it would be ok for me to just enter a First Name and one last name?! Thanks

  3. Hello,

My husband was denied his IV last year and has to go back to reapply. I just recently realized that his Mexican Passport expires less than 6 months from his anticipated interview date. He's currently in Guanajuato, Mexico. We can make his Interview next month in Ciudad Juarez, but he can't get an appointment until December 14th in Guanajuato. Does anybody know if he could just wait and get his Passport renewed in Ciudad Juarez before his appointment or no because he didn't live in that State for the year.? Any help would be appreciated. :)

  4. Hello,
My hubsband went to his first medical exam and interview at the Ciudad Juarez, MX consulate in November 2014. He was denied for 1 year under section 212(a)(1)(A)(iv) Drug Abuser for the admission of using marajuana on the past. He was told he could submit a new medical exam in December 2015. I also received this email when I was trying to get more information.

    Dear Ms. Rodriguez:

Thank you for your November 20, 2014 inquiry regarding the immigrant visa case of Beneficiary (case MEP2012******).

Our records indicate that on November 19, 2014 Beneficiary was found ineligible for a visa under the following sections of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act (INA):

    · 212(a)(1)(A)(iv): any applicant that a panel physician determines to be a drug abuser or addict.
    · 212(a)(9)(B)(i)(II): any alien who has resided unlawfully in the United States for more than one year is ineligible for visa issuance for ten years.

A panel psychologist determined that Beneficiary has a Class A medical condition for drug abuse according to the standards prescribed by the U.S. Public Health Services technical manual for the examination of aliens. Panel physicians have sole discretion in making a Class A determination, based on medical tests and the applicants own statements. To overcome this ineligibility, visa applicants must demonstrate they have entered remission by remaining drug-free for at least 1 year, in Beneficiary's case, not earlier than December 2015. Therefore, Beneficiary must have the same clinic reevaluate him in December 2015. A new interview will also be required. Beneficiary will need to comply with any instructions provided by the clinic.

I've been trying to figure out how to set up a new appointment. I finally got in contact with somebody today at the Consulate and they told me he couldn't make an interview until January. I don't understand that at all! We had been expecting and thinking in December. I'm hoping he was wrong maybe ??! Does anybody know how I would go about making a new appointment? I have checked his case and it still says Refused and hasn't been updated since May. His number isn't showing up on this page either. http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/mobile/res_iv_info.html But it hasn't been updated since October 14th. Please, can somebody help me!?!

  5. Hello, I'm new here and just seeking some advice from anybody who's had experience with this. My husband went for his Medical Exam in Ciudad Juarez on Monday. While they were taking his blood, they told him if he had ever done drugs they would find out about it and that he would be better off to tell them, so he admitted to using marajuana in the past. His drug test was negative though. He has no criminal record or anything that would have even indicated drug use so I don't know why they even asked. We had a very strong hardship case due to my son being disabled. He was denied for the section that says Drug user or addict and told he has a year and can come back in December 2015! What does he need to do in this time to proves he's clean and will he have a strong chance of getting his Visa then? Do they just basically put the case on hold? Do I need to reapply again all over or just update some information? Please somebody help
