  1. Hello, just wanna introduce myself and congratulate to everyone who got an approval already. Each of them give hope to these who are waiting.

I'm received date June 19th and becoming very nervous these days and hopeful to hear from NSC.

I'm just wondering what kind of hardship win most of the cases (if it's not too much to ask for) and what kind of I admissibility you guys have.

My husband (from Belarus) overstayed visa and got under removal order (voluntary departure overstay), deported.

You have to prove that you can't stay alone in the States without spouse and that it's impossible for you to move with your spouse to his/her country.

I have diagnosed depression with pills prescribed, We also have two kids that need proper medical care and education options which only are achievable in the USA. I stated that I can not leave in the Belarus or Ukraine (where husband lives now) because of poor living conditions, war in Ukraine.

List every little hardship you can come up with. Having at least one more or less serious medical condition helps a lot.

Good luck, and remember - according to official statistics released from USCIS - 80% of i601 apps are approved, so everybody has a high chance of winning.

  2. You're right, you will have to pay the USCIS immigrant visa fee for USCIS to process your green card. It's recommended for you to pay before you enter the United States.

    Please visit

    http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis

The fee is $165.00. In order for you to process the payment online you will need the NVC receipt number and the Alien number that was assigned to the applicant.

I you will find this information helpful :)

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you very much for the info, it is very helpful. I am hoping to get my visa next week and get back to the US in the beginning of November, I will have time to make that payment.

  3. 601 waiver received 6/24/15 at Nebraska

    Approved 10/19/15!!!!!!

It seems so unreal to finally be at this point. Hang in there folks.

    Hello,

Thanks for providing info on the next steps.

There is one more thing I am not sure about though - I have seen some people mentioning something about Green Card payment that should be done after the visa is received but before you depart to the US. Do you know anything about it?

BTW I have got a call today from Consulate, they have got my waivers already (apprvd 10/16) and asked me to bring my passport and new police certificate, that's it, no interview, Consul already looked at my papers and he's ready to give me a visa. I will go tomorrow to drop off my passport, hopefully next week will get it back.

    Good luck to you!

  4. OMG! We have just got an approval! Received date 06/29/2015, approved 10/16/2015. Filed both waivers 601/212, no expedite, no congressmen help. It's 3.5 month processing guys! God is Great!

Now back to the business, what happens next? I know that USCIS should send approval to our Embassy (in Ukraine), how would I know they've got it? Is there going to be a status change on CEAC? How Embassy will contact me about further actions (interview, extra documents...) - is it by email or regular mail? How soon are they going to contact me (don't answer this one, I know it depends on consulate and my luck smile emoticon. Good luck to you all, keep praying!

  5. I have my 1601 receipt date may 7 just checked the CEAC website it shows refused but with status update 8/21/15. Does anybody know what this means?

What do you check CEAC website for? That is a question for everybody - I see a lot of people refer to it a lot, but shouldn't USCIS be updated first? With "approved" status hopefully.... CEAC says refused and stays so until Embassy gets your i601 approval back - is that right? Then if USCIS status did not change yet, nothing should be reflected on CEAC side also as I see it....

  6. Hello,

I don't know where else to ask, will try here.

I was at IV interview today, got my refusal worksheet, but only at home saw that only "Section 212a9 - Ordered removed" is checked, while "You are eligible to apply for a waiver of the grounds of ineligibility" is not checked. Consular officer told me that I can file those waivers, and I came to that interview to get refusal letter and to proceed to I-601-212 filing.

What should I do now? I have sent an email to embassy asking if it's a mistake. Can i file I-601 even though that field is not check-marked? (about eligibility to file).

    Thanks

  7. i have a question plz

my scan date is Feb. 13, I called the NVC at april 07, as i got the 60 days email..

the rep told me that my case should have been reviewed and she made a notice to the supervisor.

Now when i call the nvc they tells me that my case is being review the the supervisor!

Does any one has any idea how long this gonna take them to give me the answer??

    Thanks alot..

When I have got checklist I asked for supervisor review, it was completed in about 15 days, although I was told it's up to 42 days. That was back when regular wait was 60 days. I guess supervisor reviews are around 15-30 days now. It helped me by the way, they found missing paper.

Just keep calling them like at least twice a week, if review ends with CC you will see it online, if checklist - you will not know until you get that email.

  8. I have just called- it's official - case complete with checklist scan date 03/23, so they move quite fast now.

Lady also said that they don't have delays at NVC with appointment scheduling, it only depends on each individual Embassy/Country. Once interview will be scheduled I should receive another email with instructions (on medical and so on).

Is there another forum for those who wait for an interview? Can you please direct me to it?

Good luck to everyone who still waits for those two letters "CC", it will be fast now.

  9. I want to ask about those N/A's everybody waits for. Where should they appear exactly? I have two CEAC pages where I login - one sign-in page to pay fees, another one IVSummary.aspx. Which one should show N/A's?

Just now I signed-in on IV Summary page and AOS fee changed to N/A, but IV fee still shows as paid, so what does that mean? Is it half-CC?

My checklist scan date is 03/22, I have not seen CCs from 03/22 yet.

If anybody is wondering - checklist was for missing documentation. Business license for my wife was lost, after I asked for admin review - they have found it. But since I have sent a copy of it by mail they still needed another 45 days to review my mail. Only to find another copy of what they had already - TADAAAA!

Please tell me what single N/A on AOS means, and why IV still shows paid? Should I call?

  10. Just got off the phone. Confirmed that review is down to 45 days from 60. Unofficially was told that it's likely to be in 35-40 days range.

And another dumb thing. I have got a checklist on 03/22 stating that they don't have proof of employment. My wife is self employed, so we have included a copy of business license in original package. I have called in March and asked for administrative review since we were 100% sure license was included. But we also have sent them a copy of it.

Now they say that "administrator" found our license and everything is fine, case would have been CC if not for the letter we have sent with a copy of business license. Now they need 45 days to review it. If I knew they would find missing license I would have not sent them anything and now I most likely would have been looking and two N/As, instead I am waiting for them to find ... TA-DAAAA another copy of the "missing" paper. Rep told me everything is fine and there should not be any complications or checklists unless they find something terrible in my letter. I have also included 2014 tax return there, I hope it was not a mistake and will not trigger another checklist for new AOS or something. I just thought that since I have filed new taxes and interview will be after tax-deadline they will want to see my new taxes. I just don't want them to get confused with new taxes.

Oh God, I need that CC now.

  11. Hi kit10dog,

I tried to access ceac site, but still it says not eligible for further processing. :(

Daily I keep checking this site for the good news. or is it some other place I need to check to do the forms and payments. I have all my documents ready with me. Please help me

    https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

In your case it might be that priority date for F2A class is not current yet and so they are not processing your case further until upgrade. If you have sent them a letter a month ago you should get a reply within 10-15 days tops I guess.

My priority date was from 2005, so processing was uninterrupted as date was current (visa numbers available).

  12. Wowwww.... am sooo happy about you. In just 38 days u got your CC. A great news to hear :). Do update us on your interview as well.

I am still waiting for the upgrade. We sent upgrade request on Feb 5th, yet to get reply from them. Hope We ll get the next step soon.

I also upgraded our case from F2A to IR1, we did it over email, just sent an explanation and citizenship certificate. They have responded in about 50 days and did the upgrade. It all happened while we were waiting 60 days for them to review our IV and AOS papers. So you should not wait for an upgrade, continue with all forms and payments, they will do the upgrade along the way.

  13. Hello everyone,

I just have a quick qestion. We read all the guides and we were under impression that proof of employment is optional, but I've seen people getting checklist for lack of that proof. So the question is: is it neceassary? In my opinion I-864 instruction is clear -> it's optional.

My wife (petitioner) is self-employed, we have included taxes for last 3 years with appropriate schedules showing self employment tax calculations and business license (privilege license). They gave us a checklist showing proof of income as missing. Even though it was there. I mean the business license - that's what is required if you are self employed. So it is required. We have sent it again and it's another 60 days now. We also had our bank statements in there and enough assets to cover their guidelines, but still they have said that our income might now be enough and proof of income is missing.

  14. So sorry!!! :( Have you called to gain some clarity? It is hard for us give advice cause we don't see your entire case.

Did you have a joint sponsor? What did you use to prove your current annual income?

I have called, asked for supervisor review, I am not sure how to check if it will be done, lady was like "OK, anything else?" I hope someone will review it and find that piece of paper. She confirmed that it's only for "proof of employment"

My wife is a petitioner, the only sponsor, we don't have anyone else (family) in States, so no chance of joint sponsors. For a family of 4 (2 kids) we have around $12000 income from self-employment , my wife made a license in her name, I do all the work over the internet (I did that before when I was in the US but could not extend status and left). There is hardly anything else we can show to prove that self-employment, it's just the license, work done over internet. There are correct schedules in all our taxes for previous years showing self-employment and associated taxed paid. We are also using our cash assets in bank accounts that we have saved in the past. Cash assets cover the 3x difference between income and poverty line for family of 4. Plus our house. We have enough assets, it's just that lil piece of paper - license that they either did not find or don't like.

  15. #######, just got a checklist :-( My scan date was 01/22/2015 , it's about 60 days.

They say they are missing proof of employment. My wife is self-employed and we included business license. I know 100% sure we have included it. It's another 60 long days for a piece of paper that they did not see or something.

What should I do? Ask for supervisor review? Send another copy of it? I will definitely send it again... is it just the new checklist cover letter and copy of license? Can I email it?

I don't understand how that happened, did they expect W2 and employment letter and just disregarded the license copy? Or may be they don't know what privilege license is (same as business license)?

  16. Please let me know once you receive your cc I called them twice and they don't give out much info. We both have the same scan date. Good luck!

My scan date is 01/22, I have called yesterday and asked if it's still 60 days they need to review papers - the answer was - "yest it's 60 days but if you don't hear from us within 60 days please give us another week and a half before inquiring", so it's more like 70 days.

BTW I was able to successfully update my name which changed since I-130 was approved and also changed my embassy because I live in a different country and wanted Embassy updated. All done via email - took 50 days for them to complete my request. Got new case number. Now I am waiting to get hopefully CC within the next week.

  17. Sh***# my wife did staple her tax transcripts:/ ( 2 pages)

Look at my signature;) good luck

Thanks for the info, now I know what to expect. Unfortunately I emailed at the same time when I have sent my paperwork, I hope my CC will not be delayed because of that request - in your case it took 49+14 days to change embassy.

Also what did you email to your embassy? I wonder if I should send them something too, if it will help.

    Thanks again!

  18. Just called NVC - they said it takes 60 days to reply to an email. Nice!

I have sent all my documents to them and on the same day sent an email requesting name change and embassy change. Now if they will review and CC my case in 55 days and will not get to an email - my old info will stay there :-) I don't want them to process all paperwork in my old name and then send it to an embassy in another country that will take me a day to get to. I thought it was 30 days before to respond to emails?

  19. just an advice from my recent experience:

Last time I called before IV was invoiced and DS-260 completed rep told me to send all the paperwork with AOS cover letter, not to wait for IV payment and DS-260 completion. That was by the time you complete IV payment and DS-260 they will get all the paperwork and will start reviewing (counting 60 days) sooner.

I don't know if it's a good advice or not, thats what I was told. Also rep advised to use cover letter from AOS because he said cover letter that comes with Welcome letter is too confusing with all those checklists.

Also he told me not to separate packages and put everything in one envelope, AOS papers first, IV supporting docs last.
