Does anybody know how long it takes to get an interview for the Buenos Aires embassy once you get CC? Thanks!
-
Congratulations archmart!!! You must be thrilled and relieved. May I please ask if that Nov. 18th. scan date was for a checklist or your origninal submission. And if original scan date did you send both your AOS packs and IV packs together. Good luck with the interview stage!! ;.)
Thanks everyone. Yes, I'm relieved! This was for an original submission and everything was sent in one package.

Hey, thanks for the people who gave constructive/helpful advice! Luckily I got a CC today!! I'm guessing it's because my joint sponsor was well over the poverty line. Yay for me

Yay, CC for me! Scan date, Nov 18th! Good luck everyone!

If you have a joint sponsor why did you lie on a legally binding contract?
It's called a misinterpretation. Lying would be if you purposely did it to achieve something. That doesn't answer my question...

Does anybody have any idea?

Does anybody know if I can get a checklist for placing in the AOS form that I work as a freelancer and annual income of $15000 (I placed this as an estimate, I didn't make anything close to that) and didn't file for taxes. The rest of the financial information on the i864 form is blank since I didnt file for taxes and don't have any assets to declare. I just graduated in March 2014 (I sent a copy of the degree issuance in progress along with all the documents). I would have to file for those $15000 in April of 2015, right? Will they assume that I've been making $15000 for all these years? I have a joint sponsor that covers the 125% poverty line. A little background.... I've been living in Argentina since 1995 and never filed for taxes because I've been a housewife/student. I'm just worried that I'll have to wait another 60 days because of a dumb error.... I have a scan date of November 18th (everything is in PAID status and all online forms are COMPLETE).
P.S. I've been calling NVC and as usually it has a busy signal.... I'm going to keep on trying till I get through and then wait for an hour listening to the lovely music.

Anybody have any updates with their case? How about documents that were received at the Nvc in November?

Have you tried signing in from here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/step_2_pay_fees.html ....it worked for me....I had the same problem.
Check there....scroll down and you'll find a link.

Thanks, I appreciate your advice. I will definitely try those options.

Thanks, actually, I have looked at all the organizations related to the profession as well as the forums, but most of the forums are discussions of people who got their degree in the U.S. I guess I was just trying to see if there is someone out there who studied abroad and how long did it take them to get hired at a firm once in the U.S. Did anybody get hired from abroad? Is it common to have an interview over the phone and get hired before being there personally? That would be the ideal situation. Thanks again.

Hello, just wondering if anybody knows what the job outlook is for a foreign Architect in the U.S with 10 years of experience and for a recent graduate...specifically in Miami, FL? Will having a beginner-intermediate level of English be a barrier when trying to find a job? Thank you.

Try clicking on the link marked "Fee Payment" on the CEAC landing page: https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx. Trying to pay your fees while signed in to either the "Visa Status Check" or the "Immigrant Visa-Sign In" pages seems to lead to a dead end.
Yes, thank you!!! It worked!!! One less road block

Actually, I just verified here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html
Step 6: Submit Documents to the NVC
After you collect your Affidavit of Support form(s) and financial evidence in Step 4, and supporting documents in Step 5, you must submit all of the documents in ONE package to the NVC. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package.
Review the methods below, and choose the one that applies to your case.

I sent everything together... I didn't see anywhere that stated that you need to send the AOS and IV in separate packages. I assumed that everything was to be sent together since I received a cover letter with what I needed to send which included both AOS and IV documents. Maybe there is someone out there who has a better understanding of this?

NVC sent me the IV invoice on Dec 2nd.... I'll post you guys when I'm able to get past the IV PAY NOW screen.... this whole process is really frustrating.
-
In my case I have the choice of agent completed and AOS fees PAID, but every time I try to go the the IV PAY NOW button, it just logs me out of the system... I called NVC a couple of times and they said they sent my case to a supervisor...but, nothing has changed. Hopefully it's just a glitch in the system.
