Hi, me and my husband got married in June and filed green card in July. I came in F-1 visa and been in USA since 2006. I filed adjustment of status. I have not heard anything regarding our interview. I am scheduled for testing for interview since August and the date updated to " As of November 23". But no updates after. I submitted an inquiry. How long does the entire process take?

Haha that's funny. I live in Watford city. We moved here recently too bc of my husband s work.

@chad+stef The first time I made a inquiry they said it was backed up and I just needed to wait. I could not schedule an appointment during the holidays for some reason and have not tried in a while. It is not worth for me to set an appt considering that would be a 9 hour drive for me to hear the same thing that they are backed up. I actually did another inquiry today. I should hear something by Feb 19th.

Hello @ichiban I have the same thing updated 3 times by now and I havent heard the interview date as of yet. I was scheduled to interview since August. And they have updated the dates every 60 days. If your local office is backlogged, then you will see that. Just be patient and keep checking every day.

I am trying to check how far they are off. On the website, it says they are processing May21,2014 applications. I have been waiting for the interview date since August. Anyone who just had interview recently from Saint Paul. If so, when did you guys file? It would help me immensely. Me and my husband filed it in July 17th, 2014.

@Dave1111 Still nothing yet. I am just appalled how backlogged they are. I am waiting till Monday to be 6 months so I can submit an inquiry. I am happy for you!!

@Dave1111 I think your EAD/AP is processed in Service Center Nebraska. Its only I-485 that is processed in Saint Paul, MN for the green card based interviews.

@chad+stef Yes I am pretty frustrated. Havent heard anything and I have been checking their processing time everyday. On Nov 20 it was May 20 and they just updated today and its May 21 now. I was shocked. I am not sure why it is so slow.

@Pshrestha Whats RFE? A lot of people have been saying that here? Did you file for adjustment from F-1 to Green card. Or are you filing K-1. Just curious how the process works.

@Starkilla09 Thank you so much for your response. I think I am going to take my passport on the interview. I asked two people who had interviews in Saint Paul and they said the officer never checked their passport but I agree its a good stuff to have just in case of emergency.

I hope someone has answer for me. I filed my green card concurrent filing in July 2014. My case status has been pending for interview status since Aug 20 and my local office is in St Paul. I havent gotten the interview notice yet. But apparently they are processing May 20 I-485. Now the main question is I have a passport that will expire in April 2015. Embassy here in United States takes 3 months to renew it which will include submitting my old passport. I found mixed reviews regarding not needing expired passport or needing valid passport. I am confused and frustrated with the situation. We have had so much complications with our address not getting changed because of separate mailing and separate physical address. Now this passport deal? Can I get recommendations?

My case have been on that status since Aug 20 and I havent heard of the interview date yet or gotten notice unfortunately. My office is Saint Paul and apparently they are still processing May applications. I filed my green card in July.

It says for MN I-485 they are processing April 2013 applications. Doesnt give exact time frame. I do have travel documents. I don't know what AP stands for but since its been almost 3 months that I have on interview and testing status, I don't want to book a flight at this moment and go to my home country cuz I can get scheduled for interview any time. I can renew my passport online but I would have to send the passport and it normally takes 3 months to get it back from my country so don't wana take that risk either.

Hi CdnRN, that is awesome that you got your green card within 3 months. I was in F-1 Status when I filed for green card. We got married in June 27 and filed in July 17. I received my EAD in end of August and my biometric in beginning of August. I was put in interview scheduling and testing phase since Aug 20. And it keeps updating every month to the same status. Honestly I have a lot of friends from my state and there green card was approved in 4 months. I dont know why Saint Paul is so late. I think there is a problem with our case. We have changed our address like 3 times by now. Recently last week we discovered the immigration officer jotted wrong PO BOX number when my husband called last time. We have been waiting for I797-c receipt from the day we filed on his status. It is still on initial review.
