I think she came on K1-visa petitioned by another US citizen but did not work.

Met with OP and they got married and she returned home to wait for IR1/CR1.

Sorry for confusion but yes this is what happened.

My wife came to the US on a K-1 fiance visa in the beginning of this year, but that relationship didn’t work out and therefore we ended up meeting and forming a bond and got married in June. We filed an I-130 in September. She is in the homeland now because we didn’t want to have her get barred here. Anyways, the petition approval just came in a few days ago. Seeing as how it takes a long time for things to process in the Philippines, was it bad idea to file the I-130 in the married name? Because I’m assuming she will have to wait until she changes her name on the passport before she gets issued a visa, is this correct? We just sent the documents for the Report of Marriage to the consulate in LA, how long does it take to get forwarded to NSO, and how long will we then be able to get a certified marriage certificate from NSO so that she can change the name on her passport? Overall, like everyone, we’re just looking for suggestions on the fastest way to get her back here. Thanks.
