  1. Hello,

So, we got a case complete date of March 16. Then they scheduled our interview for May 28 in Seoul!

Kind of far off. So, the papers arrive in Seoul. They were at least fast about sending the documents off to Seoul.

My wife(still in Korea for a year without me) calls the Embassy up and they change it to April 21!

    I was shocked...but happy..

Anybody heard of this before? Experienced this?

    Thanks!

    Shink

  2. Hello,

I got a case complete on March 16. My package was received at the NVC on January 29. I did get an email today confirming that. So it seems they are emailing us now when it is done. Still waiting for an appointment slot in Seoul, but at least that part is over! My priority date was 5/27/14. So I guess the whole process is just about a year.

Sorry, I don't want to go digging through my stuff to update my timeline. I just wanted to share and see if anyone else's took this long? Or is this about right?

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks for your replies, I forgot to mention that I do have a son as well. So my household size is 3. Is that still an issue because my expected income is almost double the poverty limit for 3.

I did file tax returns, and I also filed the 2555, but my income will just show zero because it is foreign income. I didn't come close to the income limit that the IRS would start taxing me on..

  4. Hi All,

Just wondering about something. I lived in Korea for 10 years, and came back to the US in April to get a job and get started on bringing my wife (who is still in Korea) over here. I started working at a job in late July.

My yearly salary is $50,000. However, I only have made about $24,000 by year's end as I have only worked less than half a year. For my AOS, all my tax returns are zero obviously. I do have all my pay stubs and an employment letter stating my yearly salary that I can submit as evidence. Is this sufficient to sponsor her? Do you think I need a joint sponsor as well?

    Thank you in advance,

    shin

  5. Hello,

I just finished my DS-260 . I am in the process of getting the IV and AOS packages together, but I had a question. The above poster stated that they received a checklist for their 864EZ, and the NVC told them to bring it to the interview at the embassy? I thought that if you get a checklist that you have send the documents to NVC. Is this new?

About my personal situation, she lives in South Korea, she will get her interview at the embassy in Seoul. I have been in the USA since April preparing for this, and I don't want to mess it up now. Please let me know.

    Thank you.
