  1. Hi, need help to cure my doubt. I was admitted her in US as k-1. I have 6 years old son under k-2 but he is still in Phil. My fiancee turn to husband able to list my son's name on i-129F when he filed petition . That k-2 will expire on this coming August 4, 2015.

    Here are my questions:

1.) Do i still have to file i-824 following-to-join even if the k2 is still valid?

2.) How to notify the US Embassy that i will start now processing the k-2? What processes i may be going through?

    Enlighten me pls!

    Thanks.

  2. Hi there VJ members. I need your great ideas and experiences to share to me.

I was admitted here in US as k-1, got married and my AOS case is still ongoing and hoping that my i-131/Advance Parole will be granted. Assuming that i have my AP and have a chance to go back to my home country to process the k-2 visa for my 6 year old son, here are my questions:

1.) Since the k-2 visa i will be processing is "follow to join", what are the documents and related important things to bring with me for his k-2 visa interview/k-2 appearance on embassy?

2.) Is there really a k-2 visa interview that will occur for my 6 year old son in the embassy?

3.) How to let the US Embassy Manila know that i will begin to process the "follow to join" k-2 visa( for further info, the k- 2 visa will expere on August 2015 because i was given the k-1 visa last August 2014)

    Thanks.

Hope to hear from you VJ members SOON.

God bless to all of US.

  3. Hi members, i need more clarifications. I want to travel back in Philippines and re entry to US. Here is the situation. I was admitted in US as fiancee visa, got married and my adjustment of status is still ongoing. Assuming that my I-131 (Advance Parole/ granted reentry permit) is approved, i can go back to Philippines. Now, my passport is still under my single status information/maiden name information and it will expire on 2019. My single/maiden name is AAA(given name) BBB(middle name) CCC(family name) written on passport but on my reentry permit is AAA BBB DDD which the DDD is my husband's surname. I still use the BBB as my middle name in all my papers in US because that is part of the tradition here in our state that you can just drop off your maiden surname(CCC) and just replace the husband's surname(DDD). But in Philippines law on married woman,it should be like this, AAA CCC DDD(Given name----maiden surname as middle name already-----carrying husband's surname now). Thinking that i will not ammend my passport to change it to my married info because it is still valid until 2019 and the fact that on 2019, i can apply for US citizenship.

    Here are my question?

1.) Can i still use my old passport in re entering the Philippines?

2.) When purchasing plane ticket, what name i will use?

3.) In re entering the US, what documents does the immigration ask aside from the REENTRY PERMIT when i will be on my POE ?

4.) In leaving the Philippines, what documents does Philippine Bureau of Immigration will ask me? Take note that i don't have a US visa anymore, only the re entry permit.

To those who had same situation on me, share me what you did.
