My intetview was good i brought everything pics copy of applications orginal documents marriage certificate birth certificate etc and they asked for none of it ..take any way every ones interviews are different. They just asked genaric questions are you working where do you work.reverified the questions on the I485 application and we where done ..APPROVED

A USCIS update my husband and I called to get an update on your AOS status . The agent let us know that they are currently on October 17,2015 and that the status get updated every 15th of the month . Unfortunantly we are October 19,2015 so a little bit more waiting.

USCIS (online) says "approved your Form I-765" on Feb 23rd. Will the status change when they actually have mailed the card to me? or is this the last online status and I am to be waiting for the card now?\

You will recieved the update when the card has been mailed with a postal service tracking number .

On January 19, 2016, the Post Office delivered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx, to the address that you gave us. The tracking number assigned is 920xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschangeto give us your new mailing address.

You will receive another update once it is mailed with a usps tracking number so that you are able to track your card. We recieved our update within a few days after the approval.

if there are questions that are left blank you may receive a RFE the thing is the sooner you get the information back the sooner you can return it. However just answer honestly..According to New York state it is legal to marry a cousin I am not sure about GA. Judgement free zone.

I hear you on that. I can clearly see how this whole waiting process has a domino affect in other aspects of your case.Hopefully you hear from them soon as well, so you can bring up your step children and proceed with life!

I'm also a New York filer who filed in mid October. My AOS case status is still on " fingerprint fee received". I have my EAD thank God! but I'm getting really anxious to see so what happens next with my case. At least you have that potential waiver letter to somewhat put your mind at ease lol.Just hope we all hear something back soon!

This is true however I would love to just get on with it . We are trying to get my step children here as well as a K-2 the sooner my husband recieves his GC the easier it will be for them when they arrive and we can adjust their approval once they are here depends on his so it is like a trickle effect. The whole process is long however so far we have been lucky considering other timelines that i have seen. I am sure that you will here something soon.

Any NYC filers with interview's yet?!

Upstate New York here. I have not recieved an interview date however we did receive a letter stating that we qualified for an interview waiver due to the overflow of cases. The letter stated that we can recieve our GC anywhere from six months to the date of the letter which was Jan 26,2016.

I had my interview 2-17 and it was aproved how long do they take to give my fiance his passport i check and it says still at US Embassy (Dominican Republic)

It varies from case to case we did not recieve our until 2.5 weeks after the actual interview which was on August 24 and we received the passport of Sept 17..Best of luck.

Hey, guys, has anyone here had their I-485 transferred to National Benefits Center for processing? My husband and I just got notices that our case was sent there. I looked on the USCIS website for processing times and I-485 is not even on the list of types of applications they process.

I am very confused about what to make of it.Any advice or comments on what to expect and why they might've done it?

There is nothing to worry about they get transferred there due to the type of applications that you are sending . My case was sent there as well we recieved the biometrics appt within a month of sending in the applications at our local uscis office my husband already recieved he EAP/AP and now we are waiting for his GC..

Lastest update . recieved an email from USCIS stating that my husbands EAD/AP has been mailed out on Friday January 15, 2016. So it is on its way.

Lastest update we recieved our EAD/AP card on 01/19/2016. On Thursday 01/28/2016 recieved a letter from USCIS that we are being waived for the interview for the change in status however it may take up to six months to recieve the residency card due to overwhelming work load. It is a good thing but the wait continues . I am praying that it is sooner. Now we are on the journey to try to get his children here so if anyone has info regarding the k-2 process it will be highly appreciated. Good luck to all of you thru this long journey.

We recieved notice from USCIS that our EAD/AP was approved today. Thank you LORD!! one more to go....

Patience is the key , my interview was on August 24th and we were approved after a long grueling day. We recieved his passport stated issued on September 15th and we recieved it on September 17th . Some people are lucky and recieve it within 7 to 10 days however it is another short waiting game. Best of luck.

My fiancé and I had our interview in santo Domingo on October 8th. How long does it take to get a passport back with his visa in it? We are getting anxious and I am ready for him to arrive!!

My now husband arrived at JFK early on a Saturday morning. He informed me there were zero issues he was in and out within 20 minutes . They checked his passport took his packet and welcomed him to the United States and that was it. His english is extremly limited however he stated everyone was very nice.

My fiance just arrived on Saturday 09/19/2015, I waited a two days so i can get the electronic confirmation I-94 from http://www.cbp.gov/travel/international-visitors/i-94-instructions went to the Social Security office today and applied all went well. I just filled out the application for the social security card took his passport and his birth certificate which is translated and notarized.We also applied for our marriage licence yesterday . I will keep you guys posted how long it takes.

Do i need to take passport size pictures to interview?

I would take it either way they lost my fiance's pic and he had to do his finger printing again at the consulate. Luckily I had a passport pic of him in my wallet and they used that. Best of luck.

Yes I booked it. He will be coming on Monday. What state do you live in? Im actually in Dallas Tx. The flights went crazy last week and we got lucky to get a decent flight on the 21st.

I am in upstate New York so i have to drive about 2 and half hours to get to JFK to pick him up . The prices are insane we decided not to wait anylonger we have so much to do . Since I cant get a day off at this time I just closed my eyes and went for it . It will pay off at the end.

Nick was supposed to pick up his visa today at 3:30. He went today, and it wasn't ready. They said come back tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning. I'm praying he gets it. He's supposed to fly out on Monday.
