Birth certificate, any divorce paper, and other legal name change papers, you need to have a medical exam done there, and you need to get a certificate from the US embassy in Tunis showing you are free to marry. And all papers need to be in french

Much easier and faster to get married in Tunesia. My Algerian husband told me it would take 3 months to get married in Algeria and I would need to some twice. We married in Tunesia in less then a week

Ups should call you to ask you where you would like to pick up hour visa

You would need a tourist visa in know I needed a letter of invitation from my husband to get a visa. I would try emailing or calling the Algerian embassy in new york.

When did your case close. Ours closed on Monday and I am really hoping to hear something soon. It has been just over 13 months now since we first filed. I am so so tired of waiting.
I hope you hear something soon, I know its very hard waiting, Seems like Algeria embassy and the NVC works in slow motion.. I too am about out of being patient , been 62 days since my case closed with NVC and still no interview date

Hugs!!! It is such an emotionally draining process when going through it. My best thing I did was stay off this website unless we had a specific question. It was too depressing see others approved and we were still waiting etc. There were many nights I called my husband just crying just done with the process. Looking back at it now we just laugh at how crazy we both were. After 15 months my husbands CR1 was approved and he has been here in the US for 8 months now. Enjoy that time where you just talk get to know each other better. And keep busy immigration will be done before you know it!!!
