Thanks for having such a forum to help people like me.
I got in trouble by signing co-sponsorship of one of my friend's daughter in law. The family did not have enough documented income to support the process.
I became their co-sponsor . The girl got green card in 2012 but they separated in 2014. Girl filed several cases against her ex-husband and in laws but lost all of those.
Now she has filed case against me to pay the fees and provide financial support being co-sponsor. I have received summons from the court to respond to that law suite within 30 days. Helping someone came back to haunt me.
If I file for Ch-13 bankruptcy will I be still responsible for her support and Do I need to respond to court for that case or Bankruptcy will automatically relieve me from that responsibility?
I also got pulled in their problem for witnesses stuff and I don't have money to pay to lawyers for nothing.
I will really really appreciate your help.

You are right but I am trying to stay away from lawyers. Don't know how much money will be wasted for no reason.
Sure I will but there is one advice Never do become co-sponsor for anyone . I learned this hard way.
Thanks , Sorry for posting in wrong group.
