It will be a duplicate. If original witnesses are available then they can sign if not then that can be indicated. As long as local UC will recognize it, the embassy will have no issue. Nothing new in Pakistan for old marriages.

Assalamu Alaikum WRWB; You can obtain a duplicate urdu one from same qazi who did original Nikah. If that qazi isn't available anymore then get it from another qazi who is from same UC where nikah was performed. In addition, obtain affidavit on stamp paper from two people who attended nikah back then. Also write an explanation to NVC as to why a duplicate and affidavits are being submitted. Make sure to get urdu one translated in English as well.

Walikum salam WRWB - Thanks for your reply.We can not locate the original qazi. You mentioned about getting another qazi from the same union council. We ask him to get us a new nikkah naama in urdu?what about the witnsses?

Hi Everyone - I have filed Immigration application for my parents(from Pakistan) and they reside in the mid east for decades. We have to submit supporting documents to NVC where they want us to send the original documents. We dont have the original Urdu Nikkah Nama and the marriage is form 1970s - does any one know can we get the Nikkah Nama from the Union Council ? We alreadyhave the NADRA one.
