  1. My fiance had her interview on 11/30. The status goes from Administration Process to Ready then back to Administration Process for a couple days then Ready again yesterday but a few hours after that, it went back to Administration Process. What is going on?

Wouldn't worry about it changing, I also had my interview on 11/30 for K1, my status changed from ready to AP yesterday to issue'd today so hopefully it won't be long for you guys! :clock: Good luck! :D

  2. Did you have two cats in the carrier at once, or fly twice?

My cats seem to be too big for the airline guidelines I've checked, but I will look on United too. Flying would be much simpler.

Ah, one at a time. One cat was 12 lbs the other was 10 and they weren't too cramped if that helps. :)

  3. Thank you very much. Calming agents sounds much better. I hope my kitty will be okay. He gets very nervous. His heart beats so fast whenever at the vet that his vet thought it was a murmur when we first brought him there.

Does anyone has any good and extra light airline approved cat carrier suggestion?

If you haven't purchased a carrier yet this is a great carrier, I used it with both of my cats flying to the states with United. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0050IBGC8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01

and here is the Harness i bought. http://www.katsnus.com/cat-leash-and-harness.htm

As for the process it should be pretty easy, you'll have to carry him through security again and declare the animal import and they may or may not ask to see his health certificate but that's it. Neither of my cats like going in the car but they did fine once the plane took off. Hope it helps, good luck!

  4. Had my interview on Nov 30 (yesterday) for my K-1, which was approved! Thanks again to everyone here that helped me calm down after realizing my mistake!

I barely slept and was very nervous, not a great combination.

    Here's my review:

I stayed at the delta montreal hotel, not the cheapest (150$ for the night) but decent if you want a close hotel for a single night and you book in advance. The staff was nice, the room was clean, it's a quick walk to the consulate and right around the corner from medisys, left at 6:55 am to pick up my medical results. Got to the consulate about 15 minutes later and there was already a few people there. I forgot which side to line up on so I followed some other people and ended up on the wrong side. The guard came out around 7:30ish to set up the line (you wouldn't think you'd line up infront of the garage doors but you do I knew it was the yellow poles! :() Once you're inside the 'receptionist' asks you for your DS-160 and passport, *she gives you a number... then you go through security (up the right side of the stairs.) and then downstairs to wait for the elevator. While the elevator does open in the back you no longer need to be first in since you're given a number, unless you're applying for a non immigrant visa.

Once you get upstairs you'll be directed to sit in the middle set of chairs... Unfortunately I was never given a number so I went to the line up for non immigrant visas (it technically is one, honest mistake :() and was told I needed to go back and get a number because I was supposed to have one (oops on my part and the receptionist) anyone on here that was there may know who I was by now. :) So back down I went, got the number 11 which wasn't too bad considering and came back up.

Got called up to hand in all my documents: Interview letter, medical, receipt for payment, birth certificate original and copy, 2 passport size photos, passport, police certificate, my fiance's letter of intent, both I-134s with evidence and my e-mail address. Was given the Information on legal rights paper, got finger printed and went to sit back down.

(minor details could vary my memory sucks ;))

Around 10 am I got called up to the second window for the interview. We said hello, he complimented my coat and we talked a little then he swore me in, the first thing he said was "a K1 from 2014? that can't be right... so it is, okay." Then he asked if either of us had been married before, if we had any kids, how we met (online gaming) "world of warcraft?" (ragnarok online) "oh, cool that's a new one, I had a guy in 2 months ago that played a private server of the original everquest, I thought that was pretty cool" he asked when we met in person and what we did (went to a convention) "oh, what kind?" (comic and entertainment) "sounds like you guys have a fun relationship, I wish I could get my wife to go to a comic-con."

He asked if I had lived in any other country or if I stayed in the U.S for more than 6 months (no and no) and then he asked: "you have -insert name- written down here, who's that?" this is where I made my mistake and I said he was my fiance's father because my brain decided to only register the first name... and I didn't realize he was asking about the co-sponsor. Then he asked What I did for a living (unemployed) and if I had worked before (only for my mother) and if I knew what I was going to do in the U.S (told him our plan) and that was it. He said he was approving our visa, gave me the welcome to the USA paper, to have a nice day and that he was going to try to find a nice coat. ;) I got back to the hotel around 10:30.

The interviewer was nice and seemed like a pretty chill guy, he never asked for any additional papers or pictures even though our petition was a year old which was kind of disapointing because I spent hours going over everything, making sure I was prepared and had extra chat logs, pictures and stuff. :)

All in all it was an easy, painless and good experience. (Thanks to the information and tips that I did remember from on here.) :luv:

  5. Hello! I had my interview today and was approved... but halfway home I realized I answered a question wrong due to a misunderstanding on my part... I accidentally said the cosponsor was my fiance's father... they share the same first name and occupation so the guy didn't say anything and it didn't click that he was talking about the cosponsor. Is there anyway to contact them to correct it? Really scared that I just got us denied due to misrepresentation, or worse! :(

  6. ok now it's working... I think this confuses me even more, I know we need to get the NoA2 and I need to email the document listed in packet 3 but can I do that before psychically recieving the NoA2? Not even getting an email or text about the NoA2 has really thrown me for a loop! Time to recover and finish this long journey! (Thank you for listening! Or.. reading? And for the advice :) )

Case Creation Date: 15-Dec-2014 Status Updated Date: 23-Dec-2014

Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment.

  7. Okay, so me and my fiance filed our petition on Nov 3rd, recieved an email for the NoA1 on Nov 6 and then nothing for 3 weeks. We checked the case status to find out it was returned by the post office and we put in a request for a copy on Dec 3rd. We still haven't recieved a hardcopy of the NoA1, no email or anything about NoA2 but today I recieved packet 3 in the mail, am I missing something or what? I thought you didn't get packet 3 until after the NoA2? My fiance is going to be calling tomorrow about the NoA1, should we be asking about the NoA2 as well?

Any advice or knowledge is appreciated, thanks!
