    I'm asking myself exact the same question. Apparently we're at the same stage of the process as you guys. Our I-130 has been approved and we're about to send in all the required documents. We would like to set the interview for asap, but have no idea what's the earliest that one can actually request...

    It's so nice to meet somebody here on the forum going through the same process at the same time! Wish you guys good luck!

    Hope you don't mind if I ask you a question: Are you guys having all the German documents (Führungszeugnis etc.) translated? The information provided says that all documents not in English or German must be accompanied by certified translations, according to which German documents should be fine. But while filing the I-130 petition at the consulate in Frankfurt, we also had one document in German (Meldebescheinung) and the immigration officer told us that all German documents have to be translated to English. He basically had us translate the document by ourselves and then sign a statement that we are fluent in both english and german and competent to translate... So now we're totally confused... Translate or not? And if yes then cerified translations or on our own? What did you guys do?
