  1. Ok so I moved and sent the forms as I was supposed to. I was getting ready to call them also and I found something on the USCIS website that got my attention:

If you are not a U.S. citizen and you have a case pending with USCIS you need to do both - call customer service and complete the Form AR-11. The AR-11 is used by non-U.S. citizens to meet the legal requirements of informing USCIS of any change of address. Presently, completing an AR-11 does not update your address on any pending case.

From this i gather that if you don't have a case pending with them there is no need to call. Is it true or should I go ahead and call?

Well, the notification of change of address applies to all non US citizens, regardless if you have a pending case or not.

what you need to do in your case is submit AR-11, and then Call the 1-800 Number and tell them your new Adress. Also you need to submit a Change of address for the sponsor (if you got your residency through familly...) I-865 Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address .

    Good luck

  2. Hi all,

I got a letter from the USCIS asking for more evidance to show that the mariage is bone feda...

what confused me is that they asked for the 2005 tax return with W2c certified!? what is that mean ? do I need to take my copy and certify it with a notary pubilc. or should I just get a transcript from the IRS?

    Thanks

look at IRS form 4506 line #6. You can get a certified tax return from the IRS for $39.

    www.accuverify.com/av2.html

I already asked the IRS to send me the 2005 Tax Return Transcript, You can get that from the IRS directely without paying a Penny .

    Thanks for your help

    Current Status:

On July 3, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 during business hours.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

CONGRATULATION:) You know we had the DORA Interview same day:) :D

  4. What is $325 for?

    What is $70 for?

    I've read something that I-485 doesn't have a fee.

    Now this is confusing ;)

    Hi there,

$325 is for I-485 Adjustment of statuts

    $70 is for Biometrics

You can put the total amount in one money order. However, I think you will need another $190 for I-130 Petition for Alien Relative. So the total amount for everything will be $585, If you do not have that money with you on interview day they will send you home; and you ll need to get another appt.

    Hope that helps

  5. Hi all,

It has been a long time since my last posting. I was busy with my new job, and i was trying to forget the immigration thing for a while. :(

I am really frustrated with the INS, I started the Dora prgm back in January, and till now I did not even got a biometrics appt. I went there twice, and they always give me the same answer:"Sir we are working in your case"...the last time they even told me that I am on the name check process thing? I do not know what to do right now.Maybe just wait I guess, since they did not even bother sending me the 90 days letter....

    Any suggestions

  6. Hi, I am in Northeast Dallas near Richardson/Garland. Is the meeting open to non-Moroccans? LOL!! I just noticed that it seemed everyone who responded is listing country as Morocco.

I just got back from visiting in Egypt, so I have been off VJ for awhile. Husband is still stuck in Cairo waiting for the AR to finish so he can get the visa and come.

If you like to smoke shisha, then the Jasmine Cafe in Richardson is a good place to go and they have good food too . . . or did the last time I went, LOL, right before I took off for Egypt at the beginning of March.

Now I think I will go to sleep . . . didn't sleep much in the past 2 days due to travel.

Yeah Jasmin Market is Okay, there is also Velveut Hokah in Addison which is cool. And yes You are more then welcome even if you are not related to Morocco lol :)

  7. Thanks for the tip k1_visa -- I'll check it out.

No real news on my front - in discussions on job, based in Denver or NYC. Plus a few things in Dallas maybe but I'm interested in the former so I'm kinda holding out for that.

Thanks man, It s really though in this job. You know there is a huge difference between what school teaches you, and whats out in the real world....

You can try Temp agencies to get a job, this way you wont lose time. You know some time they offer you long term assignements. Also, they are not very picky, as they are gonna make money out of you.

Regarding my work permit, i got it prior to the DORA, as I was an F1

  8. I know that doesn't sound like the best news in the world... but it's certainly not bad news. It's essentially as we thought -- things going to plan, just a little delayed (probably backlog over the holiday season).

At the very least it should be a load off your mind that there's nothing wrong with your application.

See -- it helps to put a positive spin on these things!

As you said it helps to know that at least someone is out there going through the case... After I finished my appt at the USCIS, I went for a job interview. They needed a temp, but at least it s something to make me busy, and get my feet wet. And guess what, I got the job. a job that's different from the I came for, and that has an extra $3/hour

Pray for me, so that my first day wont be a disaster :help:

  9. Hi Guys,

Well I went to my appointement to talk to an officer about why did it take too long for me to get a Biometrics appointement. Basically, she said as my NOA was dated Feb2 that means that my 90 days starts from there. So, I should get my appointement anytime soon. another thing, she mentioned that if they couldnt finish the case 70days from Feb they will send me a letter.

She didnt say anything why my case can not be retrieved online. All she said was last time they touched your case in MSC was feb 26....Go figure
