Awesome!!!!! :dancing: I'm sooooo happy for you and your family!!!!

Mine updated today to : passport has been received.....

So I think tomorrow it will be ready for pickup, we are right behind you!!!

btw Happy birthday to your man!!!! Great bday present.

  2. He's picking it up at Gallery 360 @ VAC.

When did your status change to this message?

His just changed to Issued on CEAC, hoping on US traveldocs it changes to this by the end of the day.

I'm estimating his should be ready for pickup withiin 4days.

I'm so happy you are finally getting done with this part!

The finish line is so close.

  3. Good news! Visa was approved!!!! Yay

Now the only thing that worries me is that they didn't ask for any evidence nor the affidavit of support!

Is this normal?? I had this whole album ready, transcript of whatsapp messages and printed receipts of several resort reservations.

Now im afraid we will get stuck in AP.

Have you heard any news on the passport??

  4. Hello,

there's a few posts covering this topic already, here's a recent one.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/541220-what-to-bring-at-vac-appointment/

Thank you so much for answering. I was actually going to PM you but figured it was too early lol

Glad to hear your fiancé's visa is finally out of AP! Praying it gets issued this week so your family can be together soon.

Our interview is Thursday, we are excited but super nervous.

  5. You will get a better answer from a K1 with the same consulate as you because each consulate does things differently. The regional forums are here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/100-regional-discussion/

This thread is in the United Kingdom regional forum. The answer to your question (for UK interviews ) is:

Tax returns are not a requirement if you have another good proof.

    One proof satisfies London.

100% of the poverty level satisfies London.

If a fiancé doesn't have enough money, they don't even have to do an 1-134. London will accept an I-134 from any sponsor in the US.

BUT that doesn't help with with an interview in the Domincan Republic.

 I didn't even realize this was a UK thread! Sorry guys. But thanks for the info provided.

Good luck with your journeys. :dancing:

  6. Well guys here's our current situation as of today.

Back in Feb, since TSC was taking forever to process applications and we wouldn't see an approval until June or July, we figured it would be safe to book a trip for me to visit in April. The last time I saw my fiance was Nov and as you all know the distance and time apart is brutal, so we booked the trip.

Then in March we received the NOA2! I'm still confused as to how the heck TSC works. There are still many people who filed way before us still waiting, still apart from their loved ones. Completely unfair!!!

Now our goal is to be able to have the visa interview during my booked trip, so I don't have to take more time off work and we don't have to spend more money on flights. But I think the chances of this actually happening are slim as my trip is the 15th. But I'm super excited to be visiting!

We still haven't received our NVC case number, heck it hasn't even been received by them yet. I call everday, I just spoke to "Athur" at the NVC for the 3rd time lol I know his voice and his name. I love that when he doesn't have my case he takes a huge breath before going into his speech about "35days" and I sit on the other end and laugh. I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy. I just say "okay Arthur I'll call back".

I'm gathering all the docs, pictures and proof we need in the meantime. At least my fiance received his passport yesterday. He thought it was a pretty good joke to tell me he was going to have to wait another week, it was his April fools joke. I didn't find it that funny lol

So we sit and we wait for NVC.

My question of the day: do I need to bring my Tax returns along with the i134 for the interview? I keep getting conflicting information. Some say yes, some say no, others have said you need to bring 3 years of tax returns and someone even told me I needed a sponsor regardless.

At least a this stage I take solace in knowing we are half way there.....

  7. You need to call the NVC and ask them for your case number. There are 2 other numbers they can give you - I forget what they are at the moment but we didn't need them. When you call, keep trying till it rings through. Don't select the option about 'if your petition has been approved within the last 35 days...' - wait until you hear the option about checking on the status of a fiancé visa. Good luck, and congratulations on getting your NOA2!

Thank you, I will start calling today :dancing:

  8. congrat!

    congrat!

https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ click on IMMIGRANT and enter your info. It should say "Transit" when it's been send to the embassy, and "Ready" when it's arrived at the embassy. You can try calling them but some embassy will not answer any immigration question.

Ok, I have another stupid question.

I've entered the case number that was on my NOA2 but that does not seem to work.

Am I supposed to have a different case #?

    I'm so confused lol
