I have been following your timeline since you filed in Memphis as well - my interview was 8/4 and I don't have a letter yet. Now, I'm getting a bit worried since you both had your interview after me and are getting the oath letter first. There were no issues - I was told by the interviewer that I passed and got the letter confirming that I passed and he said it would 60-90 days..... Did you receive your letter this week? What date is your interview? (I don't see it on there yet)

Mine said 60-90 days as well. The then following letter/status change stated 45 days. Did you sign up online to check your status process? Sometimes things change on there without notifying you

(and at like weird hours of the night, I received an email that I was scheduled for Oath at like 1.17AM, and not once; no 4 times... lol!)

My interview will most likely be in Nashville as I live here. I've been following the June board because I noticed two Memphis Service Center filers on here and none on the May board. Hopefully I will get my letter soon. They did say 60-90 days which is not up yet. The waiting game is definitely no fun - so ready for this to be over with. Congrats on getting your oath ceremony scheduled - I will check back and see how it went after the 25th.

Hey Everyone! more about my interview from this morning.

Since Memphis is about a 3 hr drive from our house, and I had an early appointment we decided to make it a fun day out, we left yesterday; visited a safaripark on the way and booked a hotel at about 10 minutes from the USCIS office. That way I could enjoy a full night sleep and be rested at the interview.
My interview was at 7.30 and we arrived around 7, the doors did not open untill 7.15.
Because the interview letter said limited seating; my husband stayed in the car with our son. It was not busy at all, and in hindsight they could have waited inside, but they had their tablets, snacks and drinks; so they were content with waiting in the car (no food&drink in the waitingroom!)

After security checkpoint, interview candidates were told to go to a separate room, I was the third person to place my interview letter in the slot. And then the waiting began; it seemed like forever, people that arrived after I did (one lady with an 8 am appointment) were called in before me, so it looks like they assign you to an officer before you arrive. I had brought a book with me, CNN was on the tv and people were playing on their phones and tablets as well.
I was called in a little bit before 8.
Had to swear to tell the truth, the officer wanted to see my GC, passport, marriage certificate. He then said I would qualify under the 5 year rule and that would be easier; I explained because my GC was marrage based, I figured I needed to choose that option, he said it was no big deal, 5 years would just be easier. I had to sign my passport photos that I had sent in with the application.
He went over the application with me, checking dates out of the country, my husbands dob, repeating all the questions regarding military/groups/arrests, etc. (part 11 on n400)
He told me to not say the words "so help me god" when I take the oath, and crossed that out on part 17 before having me sign.

I had to read: How many Senators does the United States have? And I had to write "We have 100 Senators."
My questions
Why does the flag have 13 stripes?
How old do citizens need to be to be able to vote?
What happened on Sept. 11?
What ocean is on the West Coast?
What is the name of our national anthem?

and
What is the "rule of law" ? -- Now, this one is funny, because I get things confused, I said "the constitution" , and then immediately corrected myself, "oh no, I am sorry, I ment to say ... no one is above the law"
upon which the officer replied "except for Steven Seagal" (movie reference )

That was it, he gave me a form saying congratulations, I was recommended for citizenship; he said the ceremony will be between 60 & 90 days and walked me out.

Interview done! Recommended for citizenship, more later!

Getting nervous!

Well, let me rephrase, I am not nervous about the actual interview itself, the thing I am worried about most is my request for a modified Oath; I made sure my paperwork was signed and notarized; it should not be a big deal and should not be the reason for a delay in taking the Oath, but still
(request to not recite 'so help me god' )
I guess we will find out!!!!

YES! your interview is scheduled!! start studying!!! and no, you can not look the date of the interview up online...

It is a privacy thing, your letter with the actual date should come soon!

Faith, your last email did it say they 'started the process of scheduling' , or did it say they scheduled you?

yes I did a couple of days ago already.. crazy huh!

freak out moment #2: we are going on vacation 8/23.. I checked online case status before booking and figured.. oh..... by the time I get my interview, it will be October.... maybe even November, so I booked.. never thinking it would go this fast! haha! Fingers crossed I can take the oath before my holiday trip!

I am amazed how fast everyone is (or seems to be) flying through the process!

Mine is pretty straight forward as well, the only thing that could delay after interview is the request for modified oath, but it should not have any delay, I made sure everything put in with theN400 was notarized so I hope that is all ok at interview.

Question; Those of you who filed on 3 year marriage option; is your spouse going to the interview with you and hang out in the waiting room? (and being there when the USCIS lady/gent invites you in)
The letter says it will take 2 hours, but from what I read everywhere it should not be that long, and the invitation to the interview does not say anything about brining someone.
We have to bring our 7yr old, and the option is either he drops me off and takes our son for lunch, or they hang out and wait... Advice please

Big room, not even 10 people waiting, receptionist handed me a clipboard, and booklet. Filled out the paperwork, handed it back, and he said, thanks, here is your number and she is ready for you, right there.
So 5 minutes later I was back outside.
