Hello VJ,

My wife AOS was approved back in 2016 and now her green card is due to expire in May 2018. I was told I needed to file for an extension (10 years) 90 days before the card expires. I forgot which paperwork I needed to fill out to send to USCIS. Is there a guide on this website?

Only under a few situations you can request expedite service, which are all listed on the consulate website and I think family emergence is one of them.  They need to see the documents from hospital or doctor's note.  The interview for travel document is new because I don't think my friend went through it 10 years ago.  They usually issue the document within one week.  

So far, for your son he will need the following documents:

Chinese entry: U.S. passport, Travel document (booklet) issued by Chinese consulate

Chinese exit: U.S. passport

U.S. entry: U.S. passport

I was told he needed to get a a travel document until he was 16 years old. Do you know if the the child was born before one of the parents received their green card?

I have an appointment  to apply for a travel document May 25, but we booked out flights months ago to leave on May 27th. Is it possible to get a travel document on the same day or in one day?

My son was born in the United States. However, my wife didn't have a permanent resident card yet until after our son was born. Her case was delayed due to a NOA, but she did have a valid EAD card with an I-512 advance parole.

I went to the Chinese Consulate the other day and they said my son can only apply for a Travel Document and not a Visa... My son and I am a U.S. citizen and my wife is a U.S. Permanent Resident. Even though my son is a U.S. citizen they said I needed a travel document for him to enter China. Why won't they issue him a Visa instead?

I planned my trip 2 months ago and now they are requesting me to sign up for a travel document and that takes over a month for a interview. What should I do to get a faster interview date? Our trip is planned for May 27th and our interview date is May 25, so do i need to cancel my tickets or do they have a same day service for travel document?

Are there any guides for applying for a Visa to Taiwan? My spouse holds a China Passport with a U.S. permanent resident and we want to travel to Taiwan for a tour. I know as a U.S. citizen/passport I don't need a visa to t ravel to Taiwan, but I don't know if my spouse needs one or even how to apply for one. I live near San Francisco.

My son was born in the USA this year and we want to get a visa for him in the next 24 to 48 hours to travel China. He is a USA citizen and has his passport already. Is there a way to get his Visa expedited in the next 24 to 48 hours?

I called the embassy and they told me that they included her birth certificate in the packet that was given to Customs boarder protection. They told me to just put a note when I submit the I-485 that the boarder protection already sent my packet to USCIS and I don't need to submit a birth certificate and they can just pull it out from the packet. Has anyone come across this information before from Custom boarder protection?

I am currently following the K1/K3 AOS guide. I have a question for step 7 that ask me to include my foreign fiancee birth certificate. The embassy in Guangzhou took her birth certificate when she went in for her K1 visa interview. It was the only copy we had, so my question is do we have to include a birth certificate? If not what should we do?

My new wife and I are on the 19th step on the K-1 flow chart. She wants to keep her family name, and doesn't want to change anything about her name. What I am asking is will we have any problems with USCIS if we dont change her family name to mine (the beneficiary). Also can we skip this step if we decied to keep her name the same?

I have a question about this part of the process before my fiancee's interview. What do I submit with the Pre-interview Submission Document Cover Letter? Do I just put in the information on the cover letter and send the cover letter alone? Also our interview is exactly 1 week from now is it too late to submit one? If we don't submit one will this delay our interview process?

i am also having a problem with my fiancee birth certificate. She cannot get a birth certificate because she was born in a house and not in the hospital so she was never issed a birth certificate. How are we going to obtain one?

How many days before the interview should my fiancée get her medical exam? Also do you have to schedule an exam or can you walk in anytime when you are ready? This is for the medical office in Guangzhou.

Can I use my U.S. City Bank to pay for my Fiancee Visa payment? We are having trouble paying for it with her Union Pay account. It shows that they support City Bank, but I dont know if I can use my U.S. City Bank to pay for the visa fee in CHina.

My fiancee signed and submitted her DS-160 form online, but she put in the wrong birthday for her father. Also she just sent out the form at the end to the embassy. If she is able to retrieve the mail before it gets to the embassy can we redo the application with a new form? Or should we just let it go though and explain it later to the embassy if we get an interview date?

I was wondering what kind of questions do they ask my fiancee at the Guangzhou embassy location? Also is the interview done in english or chinese?

Do I the petitioner do the DS-160 form for my foreign Fiancee? Also when should I or my foreign fiancee do this part of the online form?

I am having trouble breaking down my fiancee address. It is in Chinese and it is just one long address. She does not know how to break it down for the I-129F form. I need help breaking down the following address:
