No they do not, not legally. Our attorney told us they will have an interview for him.

I am filling a i130 for my stepson living with his grandparents in el salvador to come to the US. I am wondering if anyone can help me with what kind of questions they will ask him. He is only 6, mother is not in picture, knows my husband as his real father and considers me his mom, and says he wants to come live with us. I know the interview won't be for awhile but I am trying to jump ahead and prepare. What kind of questions do they ask children whose step parent is petitioning for them?

I guess we will find out! My only thoughts would be about his relationship to nee, since I as his stepmother am petitioning for him to come here.
