  1. I emailed NVC about a month ago on asknvc email address but haven't heard anything back. How long does it take for NVC to respond to emails?

usually takes 30 working days. But there is a number you can call nvc, they will assist you.

Hey everyone I have a question. I'm currently in the US legally on a B1/B2 visa and my priority date is 1 Aug 07, which in my estimations will become current in March. Now, when this happens do I have to return back to my home country and attend the visa interview or can I do it from here

you can process your papers there in the US. Call NVC
  2. Everyone is disappointed from the horrendous waiting times they facing. It does not make sense to wait at least 8 years to reunite with their families. How many 8 years do I have in my life time!!!??? This has to change.

i know how you feel... i waited 25 years. Today i just received my visa. I know it is a very long wait... but time flies so fast. You will just get tired if you wait. Make yourself busy, at work or in school. Be productive in life. I know it's hard. Patience will make your way. Trust me... i have been there.
  3. hello i was interviewed last oct 2014 for IR5 & received a refused letter 212(a)(2)(i)l), i need help what to do next, can anyone help me?

what was stated in your 212? Fo you have lacking documents? If yes, try to gather them all then send it to usem asap. Once they receive all the needed documents, give them atleast 15 working days. It is normal to see your ceac stat at AP. Did they give you back your passport? If no, it's a good sign that once you completed all the lacking docs you will be issued soon a visa
  4. My CEAC status "ready" update date changed just today when i completed my daughters ds260 online. My daughter will have her medical next week and i already got an appointment for interview again but with my daughter on dec.22,2014 through online. Yay! I'm so happy. Finally im relieved knowing that my daughter will accomodate me. Im so happy seeing her name under my case.

  5. Rick_ES_USA:

Thank you for that info. The CO did not give me a green sheet after the interview, i guess it's a different process here in the Philippines, they just gave me a website to check because they say that they are not printing papers anymore and call centers here are difficult to reach. But i hope with my schedule in USCIS on Dec. 8 they will give me info. I will try again and contact our embassy tomorrow. But i still have a question Rick, if my visa will be issued soon before i apply my daughter, will it affect her eligibility? I still dont know how to start her application. Im a bit worried. But thank you for your generous answer...

Do not forget your cenomar. It is not written in the packet but the CO will ask for that. In my case visa issuance is taking a while because i failed to have my cenomar during the interview. I was in AP status 13 days after interview. Nov. 14 my status is ready saying ready for interview. I don't know what's happening. But i pray everything is ok.

  7. No NO package. When I wrote this, I thought I was supposed to get a package by regular mail with instructions, forms and all that (just like in the old days) after getting my IL by email, but I had not completely read the whole Interview Letter. I had read only the 1st page which has the appointment date and time. But then I read the rest of it. Pages 2, 3 and 4 have instructions on how to proceed and what to do. And thats all you really need.

My case is not a simple, regular one because I have 3 minor daughters that I am trying to add late, so I know tomorrow will not be the end of it. But I am ready for tomorrow. I will have some feed back for you guys the day after tomorrow.

Hi Rick, how was your interview? I just recently joined here at VJ, i found my case similar to you. Im F1 applicant pd is october 2007. I had my visa interview last Oct. 30,2014, after my fingerprint, initial interview asked me some questions about my father and had me signed the none married oath. Then the processor asked if i have children, i have a 7 year old daughter, she askef my daughters birth certificate and she immediately registered my child and told me that my daughter can accomodate me in the U.S but still have to go through the process. Then after that i waited for my number to be called and this time the CO will interview me. CO asked how long is my father been in the u.s and i said 25 years. Asked about my step mom and brother who are all in the US already. She mentioned about my daughter that was registered a while ago. She immediately asked my CENOMAR (which i don't have) she gave me the paper i signed about non married oath and told me to get my cenomar. It went fast that i did not had the chance to ask what should i do for my daughter. She said to wait for my number to be called and another officer will tell me how to get the cenomar. NSO dispatched cenomar to us embassy nov.7. Nov. 12 my case status went to A.P then Nov. 14 my case status went to Ready till now... i don't know if i am approved. Been trying to call USEM but no answer. So now i am still patiently waiting for my Visa to be issued. My problem here now is how can i start applying for my dsughters visa? They say that under my category i can share my benefits with my 7 year old daughter. I now have an appointment with uscis manila on dec.8. And talk to immigration officer about my daughter. Am i doing the right thing. Please let me know on how you will apply your children for visa and accomodate you in the u.s? Thank you

  8. NSO say's my cenomar has been forwarded to USEM Nov. 7. Case status says AP Nov. 12 then case status says Ready Nov.14. I think i have completed all the documents required, i have been calling USEM but i can't get through a representative to talk to me. I am getting frustrated... what is happening with my application. It's been 4 business days since last update. I wish i can have my visa issued soon... sorry to bother, i just needed some words for this.

  9. Hi, i need your thoughts and advise... i had my interview oct.30, CO asked for AOS and cenomar. Had all the documents submitted. Nov. 5 my status updated both AP and Ready, nov. 12 updated also both ap and ready then nov. 14 updated to ready only.

1st Question: I'm curious on what is happening? Am i approved for visa? How long will i wait for this process?

2nd Question: i have an offspring she is 7 y.o., during interview process, i gave them my child's birth certificate, they registered my daughter as my derivative and told me i have to pay also for her visa but did not gave specific instruction on how to start. What should i do?

My passport is still with the USEM. I am quite lost. Thinking if my visa will be issued and what should i do for my daughter.

    Please help. Thanks!

  10. Hi VJ Friends, i would like to ask help from you guys... i was interviewed Oct. 30, 2014, biometrics done, registered my 7 y.o child as my derivative, upon interview with CO, last part she asked for my Cenomar that unfortunately i don't have, she did not give me 221g and told me that another officer will tell me how to acquire cenomar and kept my passport, after receiving a paper to fill out for nso, i immediately went to window 38 and ask what to do for my child, they just gave me a piece of paper and asked me to see the website indicated on that paper. I was confused and they did not answer my question well. So i went to pasay nso and paid cenomar. Checked my status: Nov.5 AP and Ready, Nov 12 AP and ready again then Nov. 14 only ready updated. 1st question: will i be issued a visa? 2nd question: if i'll be issued, how can my daughter accomodate me? Please help. I have been sleepless since after my interview.

  11. Hi guys, i need help. I had my interview last Oct. 30, 2014, CO asked about my AOS and Cenomar, i submitted my AOS after my interview but with another officer who says AOS is ok. Requested cenomar immediately in nso and i think US embassy have received it already. Status in CEAC says A.P last oct.30 then AP and Ready last nov. 5, Ap and Ready again Nov. 12, then only ready last Nov.14. During the interview tgey registered my child as my derivative. I have so many questions in mind and been researching on what's happening. Will my visa be issued? How can my child accomodate me in the US if they grant me the immigrant visa. Please help.
