  1. Did you make it on time???

YES WE MA DE IT!!! PICKed The passport at 9am... packed my husband's clothes and said our goodbyes to the family and took off to the airport. 2 hour layover between flights and we were in line for immigration and the 2 interviews 1.5 hours (after first flight). We had to pick up luggage and pass through security again. .. 6 minutes before the 2nd plane left we got in. We made it home!!! ♡♡♡

  2. After I gave up and purchased my flight to go back home alone, I got the email from travel docs and I immediately checked the VAC account and saw it had changed to Ready for pick up. Thank God my flight doesn't leave until the afternoon, so i purchased the same flight for him, and we still have time to pick up the passport early tomorrow. I got the email late at 10:14pm yesterday.

  3. Apparently VAC PICK UP IS THE FASTER WAY TO GET THE PASSPORT. I was told it was the same time to pick it up at a designated mailbox or at the VAC. Using my logic I didn't agree with that, so family members adviced me to choose MEGA CENTRO.. my husband went and asked at the mailbox place and was told that VAC PICK UP IS THE FASTEst. :(

  4. Mine didn't say anything either, until it was ready for pick up. Your status says Issued so it will let you know passport has reached its destination and when it is ready for pick up.

I made a post the other day about what it will say before its ready for pick up, so check that out so you can know what to expect.

Thank you for all your help... that post you made was under the same questions I posted or you posted a different thread? I have read all your responses to my other questions.

  5. I am confused please help! The letter states that regardless if you submitted a copy of any documents you still have to bring and original. (I provided all originals in my packet) Then it states to Refer to the codes for status definitions. Some of the codes state that the NVC didn't request the doc or that the NVC forwarded that doc to the embassy. Pretty much the only original doc they are asking me to bring is the police conduct report and the interview letter. Anyway, can somebody who's already been to the interview on 2015 help.me with this? This is my list and under the list I provided the code meaning. Do I have to bring everything original again? Since it states that I must bring an original regardless if I already provided a copy?

    ------------------------------------------

The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not you submitted them to the NVC. Please note that even though you may have provided the NVC with a copy of a document, you are still required to bring the original document to the visa interview.

  6. Can somebody confirm what documents have to be taken to the VAC appt? Do we have to take passport pics as well?

This is what I have so far:

    -Passport

    -DS 260 Confirmation Page

    -DS 260 Completed Printed Form

    -DS 260 Payment Receipt

    -Appointment Confirmation letter for VAC

    -Appointment Letter for NVC

Question:Are passport pics necessary for the Vac?

☆PLEASE LET ME.KNOW IF IM MISSING ANYTHING

I AM LITERALLY GOING PARANOID ON THIS.

  7. Can i schedule an appointment @ the VAC before the 10 days they mention on their instructions? I scheduled my appointment for April 8 and my interview is April 27. Does it have to be within those ten days before the interview? Please clarify.

  8. Is a Mailbox pick up FASTER or VAC PICKUP!

Guys please share your experience regarding the time it took you from the interview approval to the pick up of your visa at a mailbox or the VAC. I have limited days available to be out from work and I would like to choose carefully where I would like to pick up the passport. I guess I'm over thinking and worrying too much, but I would like to return to the US with my husband.

  9. Does it matter where you choose to pick up? I wonder if I choose the VAC as opposed to a mailbox, it would be faster to obtain the passport with the visa. I am planing to travel to accompany my husband to the interview and i have my days counted to miss work. I hope he obtains the passport within 7 days that way we can return together to the US.

  10. I am confused with the creation of thus profile. My husband is in Santo Domingo, RD and my interview has been scheduled for April 27, 2015. To my understanding I need to create a profile and schedule a fingerprinting appointment. I am confused as far as who's address that I have to provide in that profile. Mine or my husband's in DR. Does this address have anything to do with the delivery of the visa? Please help.

  11. Well I called the NVC and requested to speak to a supervisor but none were available. The operator gave me instructions to resend the form and just attach a letter explaining the issue.Since the time difference between the mailing dates of the two corrected AOS was very short, I wouldn't have any problems with the NVC. That it would be common sense for them to replace the old one in the system. Hopefully this happens! I overnighted the corrected AOS. I'm just trusting in God everything will turn out just fine. Thank you for your advice.

  12. For the A# either leave it blank or put --- (dashes) through it. Many people have not had an issue leaving spots blank now. However if you use the I-864EZ (which I completely recommend if you qualify!!) then yes, put n/a or none for anything that is none or not applicable.

I am just going to reprint the Barcode and send it again even though I just mailed it last week. I did use the i864ez and left blanks. I don't want to wait another 60 days for them to tell me what I already know. Sadly I just realized this after I had mailed it.

  13. Hi Did you get a checklist for leaving anything blank? Or was it for something else?

I received a checklist only for not answering item #10 on the i864ez (Country of Residence). I totally overlooked it so I just answered and sent it back last week. My fear is getting that N/A checklist since I left some items blank like the A# (because I don't have one I'm a US Citizen) also the the Mailing Address I left it blank since the form states to leave it blank if it's the same address as the residence address.

  14. That is exactly what happened to me. Just three days after sending my first ones (I am petitioning for my husband and step-daughter) I realized there was a mistake with them. I called NVC, and the guy on the phone told me to send them again, and to label "NEW AND CORRECTED FORMS I-864, and CASE #####) on the outside of the evelope. That ended up bitting me in the butt! Like I said before, almost five months later, I just sent my third affidavit of support. Make sure that whomever you talk to, really helps you out..... Don't forget, certified mail to them is a must. By this point, I am even recording my calls there, just in case....

So you are saying that resending the forms is a bad idea?

  15. My second AOS was just received at the NVC and I got an email today confirming that. I mailed it on Sat and they Received it on Thursday. I am just very worried because now I realize I can get a second checklist for leaving blanks. I just rather send it again to save that time even though I just mailed it. My only worry is that getting another corrected copy might trigger another problem, but again I don't want that second checklist. I wonder if people that mailed it with blanks ever got through it without checklist. This is really nerve-wracking. :(
