All is not lost however... In October they will re-process and approve. There was a 10-year ban for an overstay 9-1/2 years ago that we were not aware of. They even gave her a B1/B2 visa in 2013 without a problem, today cancelled.

wow! Im so sorry. I dont get how they gave her a visa in 2013 and denied your k1 now...hopefully all will work out good in October. Good luck!!

My fiance received his passport 7 working days after his interview.

Yes! you have to tell them the reason. Our K1 approval from USCIS is until 2/28/15. If we didnt have the interview before that date we would have to apply for an extension.

Interview date changed to February 12!! Super excited!

we submitted packet 3 on jan 7 2015 and still haven't heard anything as well. The lack of communication for this part is frustrating. My fiancé lives very from Buenos Aires but was waiting in the city because we were under the impression it was just 10 days and then they schedule the interview. however this is obviously not the case. Oh well looks like the waiting game continues.

Yes, very frustrating. My fiance also lives far from Buenos Aires, in the province of Salta. They got our packet 3 on 12-30-14 and also told us 10 days. But...it's been already a month! so tired... We just want to be together!

It' s just so frustrating. Who knows what's going on. If they at least respond to say they're busy or whatever...

I had emailed the Argentine embassy previously to inquire how long it takes to be notified about an interview and they said after paperwork received - allow 10 business days.

I would definitely email and follow up. You can call, but I think they are just customer service, and may not be able to advise.

They did note they are very busy in Jan & Feb.

I am supposed to hear from them by Friday - if the 10 days does really apply.

I'm also stuck and today I've noticed at the CEAC that my status update "READY" has different dates. Now that you mentioned it , makes sense that they may change the status date, because I've also email the embassy to inquiry about my fiance's interview.

I just hope that it changes because they're actually doing something....

Congratulations! Your case went pretty fast! I guess Colombia's consulate is faster than Argentina's...We're waiting for a month already for an interview date!

My fiancee and I are applying for Visa K1, I live in Argentina, in province of Tucumán. I would like to know if there is anyone who went through this process and know step by step what to do with the paperwork needed for the interview, I know it's different for people that aren't from Capital Federal, I would like to know what papers are needed to present and how to get them, I hope somebody can help me. Nosotros empezamos el trámite el 6 de Octubre en el California Service Center y gracias a Dios fue aprobado y los papeles ya están en la embajada en Buenos Aires. Mi fiance vive en Salta.

Cualquier pregunta que tengan te puedo ayudar.

Our status never changed, it's still "at NVC" that's why I called. I guess they are late updating that info.
