  1. I received my NOA2 hard copy yesterday. Have a few questions...

01: For K1 petition, am I suppose to have a priority date? Mine is blank.

02: In the PETITIONER and BENEFICIARY boxes, they have our names printed and A numbers.

What do these A and nine numbers mean?

03: In the Notice Type box, it says Approved Notice Valid from mm/dd/2014 to mm/dd/2015.

What should happen during the time frame and what happens after it expires?

04: In the main message box, it says the following...

"The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate."

    My questions are....

    a) Do all NOA2s say that, or mine is exceptional?

    b) Although it says forwarded to listed consulate, there is no where in the notice it mentioned which consulate they forwarded to.

    Thanks in advance!

1.To me if you are doing K-1 visa, there is no priority date.

    2. A-number is like Identification number that is using in US homeland security department system.

3.Not sure about it, but I would guess they give you certain amount of time to reply to them, otherwise petition will be expired.

    4. Even though they say that, but every visa petition has to go through NVC for case assignment and then go to consulate.

    a) usual message on NOA2

    b) it should be on your I-129f petition where you asked them to send your petition.

  2. I have another question. Have you had your medical exam and if so what did you show to the clinic-IOM or the one? Were you able to make an appointment by calling? I am in Sihanoukville and to take a bus to PP just to make an appointment seems to me to be crazy. Let me know if you will and thanks for replyinI

I am not sure about medical exam, but it is not risky just to try. I have sent them many e-mails, but always received auto response. The thing that I noticed is that my status on CEAC has changed to today, but I am not sure because of my e-mail or my packet 3. Wait to see if I get packet 4 or appointment schedule online on US embassy website.

  3. No, there is about a month difference between NOA2 and the letter from NVC. What did you send the US Embassy?

no. I got approved on 09/18/14. and us embassy got my case on 10/21/14. after I saw it was ready, I sent my packet 3. DS-160, I-134, and 169 optional. Now, I sent them e-mail to find out it they receive my packet yet.

  4. I checked that this morning and all it says is last updated OCT. 21, 2014. Did you recieve mail from the embassy or were you notified only by email?

It seems that you got your USCIS approval and US embassy the same day. I did not get packet 3. I just sent packet 3 right the way. Now, I am worried that they get my packet 3 or not. if not, I might have to do it over again. I hope that they get it.

  5. I have not recieved the packet yet. The NVC letter dated October 16, 2014 stated that my file was being sent to Phnom Penh. With the hoidays and all I hope maybe next week. Do you know if all I will recieve as packet 3 is an email or does the embassy use smoke signals? Thanks M

If you have case number, you can check online if US embassy receive your case. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

I sent my packet 3 already without packet 3 in the mail. now, I tried to find out if they got packet 3 already.
