Thinking of petitioning my mom since she is already here with a tourist visa.
However, I am moving to a diff country (military orders) next month, so she will have
to stay with my brother in Texas. (I have done my research regarding this and
since it is a military move, I will still be able to petition her because my country of
domicile is still the USA).
Question is, which address should I use as her address on her forms? I know for
sure the part where "she intends to live in" will be my brother's. But will her
current address be my address since she is with me as of now? Then, just file for
a change of address when I live and she moves with him?

At the end of the form, there's a question wherein we have to put the address where my mom intends to live when she gets here.
Thank you for your replies though. Definitely good to know and something to think about. We will be in Japan for 3 years. And her living condition in the Philippines is really not good that's why I want to get her already and be with my brother. She will live with us once we come back in the US.

My brother is a permanent resident. It will still be a reunification between her and my brother. The military bases outside the US are considered as US soil.

Do you need to be a citizen to co-sponsor?

My husband is in the military and we are moving to Japan this summer. However, I will start my petition for my mom next month. She is not allowed to live with us in Japan (military rules that only immediate family can be with us when being assigned abroad).
She will be staying with my brother in Texas once she gets here. Question is, can I use my brother's address in all the forms and the return address for my application?

PFLETCHER: Guess it's best to just wait for our order. Did you have to mail it or email?
-
PFLETCHER: Haven't called to expedite my case. Will they ask me why I want it expedited and ask for a proof?
-
PFLETCHER: I haven't received any letter from them about the interview date though. Heard it will take months.

Comgratulations!!
Did you get all the answers correct? Are the questions on the reviewer?
-
PFLETCHER Congrats!!
We don't have our orders for Japan yet, but when I track my status, it says I've already been scheduled for an interview.
I want to get it over and done already because my husband's report date is July of this year and if I'd be ordered to go with him, I wouldn't have to delay it.

Any updates on your paperwork? I am about to process mine and request for an expedited process. Would love some feedback! Thanks!

Hi! I'm so glad I went across your post. So you did not have to send the orders via snail mail? Cause that's what I'm planning on doing. Submit my application next week and then a copy of his order next month. Did you just scan the order and download it with your request?
-
Moving to Japan soon and I already called USCIS and was told I can submit his order together with my application for N400 for an expedited process.
Anyone here with experiences with expediting their N400? Waiting time when you did it?
-
I called them a few months ago about this and they said they do, as long as you submit your application with the order and a cover letter. Also, the only time you can PCS is if you are moving outside the US, not back to the US.

His order was changed to Japan and we're not going til July. I am applying for my N400 next week. I read your other thread. I've been a GC holder for 3 yrs on May.

I will be in Germany with my husband, who is in the military by the time I petition my mom.
My question is, will I be requried to make an appearance with my mom in the US when they call her for an interview for her AOS? That is my main concern is coming back here just for that, it will be very expensive. Is there a legal letter I can give together with a birth certificate?

My husband is soon to get orders for us to be PCD-ed to Germany next year. I called the USCIS Military Hotline and was told I can have my N400 expedited once we get the orders.
I've already had my Green Card conditions removed this May.
I just want to know about wait time/experiences or tips/advices.
Thanks!
Can I apply for green card for my parents while I live outside of the US?

You can, as long as you are coming back to the US because your country of domicile is still the US.
Although, where we your parents live while they are here?
