  1. Oh I feel bad for you:-( .... my visa is a K 1 visa so it's a bit different than yours . I checked this site to see if others with 1R-1/CR visa got theirs yet and most got them within a week or two . I don't know what else to tell you except I hope it all works out soon . This whole process just sucks. My fiancé and I live 20 mins apart . I'm in Sault ste marie Ontario and he is in Sault ste marie Michigan . We see each other almost everyday and we have to spend all this time and money on this. Wow I can't wait till it's over . Good luck to you .. Hopefully you will hear from them soon !

  2. That's the right wedsite ? It should ask for the visa type and then it asks for your MTL 000000 number when you put that info in, a small box pops up that tells you the status of your visa . Ready means that it is ready to be looked at - administrative processing means the are working on it and Issued means it's done and being sent to you. If it just says ready something is not right and I would email the embassy. Try a goggle search " visa status department of state . Open it and put in visa type and MTL000 number and that little box should pop up with your status

  3. The status of your visa has to say ISSUED before they send it to you . When you check your status dose it say nonimmigrant visa on the top and issued under it ? DOS (Department of State) check visa status .

This how my status went :

January 30th - during interview " Aministrative Processing" (immigrant visa)

January 30th to Feb. 3 - "Ready" (immigrant visa)

Feb. 4th - Administrative Processing ( changed to non-immigrant visa)

    Feb. 12th - ISSUED

Feb. 13th - emails from loomis and embassy

  4. Hey TheAri... Dose your DOS say issued yet ... Because mine was in AP forever and then on Thursday 12th it changed to ISSUED, then on Friday 13th is when I got the email from loomis and embassy. I live in Sault Ste.Marie and the nearest loomis is North Bay ... 5 hours away ... do you know what the weather is like up here in northern Ontario ! I really do not want to drive there to get it ! I hope it comes this week .

  5. Hello ... I had my interview Friday Jan.30th...still no visa in hand .. But on Friday I got an email from loomis with my waybill number and an hour later I got another email from the Montreal embassy saying my visa had been sent out and I should get it within 5 business days . I don't know what's going on there, I'm almost 3 weeks waiting too. When I got the loomis email I called them ... So I could pay the extra to have it sent to my houses cuz the nearest loomis to me is 5 hours away. The girl told me that there have been a few issues with the ceac update and loomis... She told me its showing that it left the embassey but there are no scans on her file and the dhl tracker has not been updated ! So I don't know what's going on ... I just wish it would hurry up and get here.

  6. Good luck on Tuesday ! As long as you have all the paperwork they ask for , you will be just fine . I was really nervous too but so relieved when they said approved ! The waiting for my ceac to say issued was more stressful for me. I had my interview on Friday January 30th and was in administrative processing till this Thursday when it finally changed to ISSUED and yesterday I got an email from loomis with my waybill number saying it was on its way .

  7. No waybill number for me too . My ceac says ISSUED but no waybill number yet . I called the DHL and the girl told me there has been a few glitches in the new ceac website since the upgrade . DHL people told me to wait a few more days and they will email me a message when they get the package from embassey. My interview was 14 days ago still no visa in hand !!! And you know what sucks ? Monday is a holiday so they are closed LOL . So it will be delayed even more !

  8. A bit of advice .. I bought these 5 gallon zip lock bags and put every thing in them cuz you can't bring anything into the embassey. I had my passport, hotel room key and all the paperwork in them. Worked out great cuz that morning at 7am while about 25 of us were standing in line outside the embassey it was snowing heavily. Everyone's paperwork was getting wet from snow and a lot of people said what a great idea with the zip lock bags lol !!

  9. I-134 is all you need for k1 interview . Just had my interview in Montreal and that's what they wanted . I had the I-134 in a separate zip lock bag with my fiances - tax returns from last year.. His W2 .. Letter from his work confirming employment . The girl at the embassey loved that I had copies all ready for her all in one package. Don't forget a new letter of intent to marry that was signed in the last 30 days . When I was there 2 people did not have that ready .

  10. Had my interview Jan. 30th . Everything went great . He said approved gave me my letter and said I should receive my passport within 2 weeks ! Ceac changed to non immigrate visa on Feb 3rd and ap on the 4th . Status updated date has changed 3 times. Still not ISSUED :-( . Getting very stressed . Is anyone else in the same boat that had an interview in the last 3 or 4 weeks because no one on VJ who has had an interview in Montreal since Jan. 15th has posted that they received their visa back yet . Just wondering if that update on ceac website on Feb.1st has anything to do with this AP

  11. I went crazy trying to figure out the cheapest way to do this. Cuz I'm 1500 klilomiters from Montreal and 700 from Toronto ...I figured the cheapest way was to do both at once. First you have to book your interview at the embassey before you do anything else . Once you have that date I would suggest you take the via rail or a bus to Montreal 4 or 5 days before your interview to get the physical done. Then take the train or bus to kanata and stay with family while you wait . The day before the interview go back to Montreal pick up the package from the physical get a room for 1 night and go to your interview the next morning. I took the via rail to my sisters in brockville ($35 return) while I waited for the interview

  12. Physical exam has to be done by an immigration doctor within Canada . There are 2 in Toronto and 1 in Montreal. My fiancé and I live 20 minutes apart Sault Ste. Marie Ontario / Sault Ste. Marie Michigan There is an immigration doctor 1 hour from me in Michigan but they said NO it has to be done in Canada so I went to Montreal 4 days before my interview. It also cost me $325 for the exam but , I had it in hand for the interview. There is no way around it . Also if you are in Ontario .. The Montreal embassey is the only one on this side of the country that will do the K1 visa interview so you are going to have to travel there anyway to get your K1 visa interview approval. I just got my K1 visa approved last Friday .
