I travel to go to the interview with my husband.  I schedule the day for the thursday at 10:30a. When my husband checked in they told him that embassy didnt do interviews that day. So, they wanted to rescheduled until January 31 2019. My husband spoke up and stated to the lady my wife is outside and she made the appointment. The lady at the window told him to come back at 1:30p. As my husband came back outside to sit with me with ate lunch then he lined back up at 1:00p. Once inside the Embassy she told my husband he did not have the right size passport pic and he would have to go back out to get some remade. So my husband came back outside running to get the passport pics made.  So he went back inside, he stated they made the people are reaffirm sit on another side of the room. Husband stated as he sat there they were not giving many visa out. They were more of denying most people. So when it came his turn to go the window he said it was a heavyset man sitting at the window smiling.  The man swore him in and told him to have a nice in America. After jumping through all the hoops the years and struggle we finally got blessed.

That is so wonderful just waiting for our interview date we had to change it several time due him not having an updated passport. I hope and pray ours be the same

Congrats what are some the question they asked you?

when did your case get reaffirmed?

Our case has change from expiring soon to AP yesterday. I made the appointment last month, so he will be going next month at the end of the month. I told him maybe they were just checking if your phone was working lol. I never heard of them telling  you to pick up evidence before the interview and they dont have enough room for it. Maybe its everything I sent in 2016 hmmm...

So I told him to wait till they call him instead of going there. Because they are not gonna let him in the embassy

Yes when everything is ready you are supposed to receive a call from them letting you know its ready. Some get it and some don't. Some just end up picking up their documents based on the case status. 

They told him to come pick up his evidence and bring it back at the time of the interview

Good morning, my husband received a call from the embassy telling him to pick up his documents. My concern did they tell anyone else this is this something new?

Good Morning, I am piggy backing off of Moses B. So when you schedule for your own appointment and did not wait till the embassy contact you will they turn you around at the door. Or will they give you an interview since you schedule for a interview. I also schedule myself and when it asked what type of visa is specifically said 221g. So Im confused on how this process is going. Do we need to wait till the embassy contact us or keep the schedule date?

Yes I told him to wait for his passport appointment. His passport expires in Feb

My husband went to get medicals done this morning but was turned away because of his passport does not have 6 months travel time. I told him to just wait until he get his appointment.  Has anyone had this problem, plus we used the appointment we had set up through USTRAVELDOCS.  Our interview is next month so making sure they will enough time to get his important docs to him.

officially since you will have to get these things redone anyway you don't have to wait for anything. You can just go and do them. That way all will already be done. You shouldn't have to wait for the embassy before you make your moves. All they are going to do is tell you you need to go get these things done. Especially the physical. The DOC as you know will know exactly where to send it to. You just need to give them your case file info. 

Do you think he can use the appointment letter that schedule to do his physical? I think want to see if you have an appointment at the embassy. Thank you for all your help.

She actually said the email she used in the application was her old email and that she no longer has access to it. Throughout the visa she received notification from the mail. So yes I believe the embassy sent us the appointment only that we didn't have access to it. So When the Embassy received ur app, they will basically make a quick.review since it is reaffirmed and update your ceac to Administrative Processing. So it may probably take 1 to 2 weeks to receive ur appointment package when ur case change from Expiring soon to Ap. So keep on checking the website until ur status change to AP then I am certain he can do his physicals. That is how the trend has been for reaffirmed cases in ghana after they introduced the online scheduling system.

I know this has been grewsome journey for us all. I have been stressing, does the embassy contact you before your interview and send you the forms before going for your physicals; or do we just get the physical done with our appointment that we made for the interview. I spoke with NVC friday they said that were send my info to the embassy. I have so many question because its not cut in dry with method like when you are going through the first time. I maybe asking the same question but any who just ready to get my baby home!! lol

Thanks you guys for responding. Just preparing him I have to get his interview techniques to flow. I told him he has to let it flow instead of over thinking. But yes I'm praying for all of us we are going to get our spouses here. I'm so glad this thread was created because many don't have a clue!!

I'm just trying figure out some new ideas! For I have sent everything 6 times lol. I guess I will pick up what I sent in April do I need to pay the visa fee again and medicals. And long does ur case take at the nvc now! I appreciate I all the help I can get.
