  1. Does anyone know where i can send next day package too? On the RFE- it doesn't give me an address to send to and when i looked online... i see many addresses. I'm from Arizona and on the instructions, it says to send to the Phoenix address which i did the initial time. With this RFE

It reads on the upper right corner,

    U.S. Department of Homeland Security

    U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services

    P.O. Box 82521

    Lincoln, NE 68501-2521

From what i was told is that we cant send confirmation reciepts to P.O boxes...

    Is there a physical address?

    thanks in advance

  2. My Wife + 2 Stepsons are currently in the first year of their Conditional Green Card by way of the Fiance Visa (K1/K2). Last year, her sister whom had 2 kids was in an accident where she was in a coma for about a month, she survived and almost immediately became pregnant. Accident caused her to lose sight in one eye plus she really hasnt recuperated fully. Seems her thought process is slower. Anyhow, she just gave birth to a healthy baby girl but cannot care for the child as the father doesnt want anything to do with child (doesnt want to pay child support). My wife and i would like to adopt the baby girl but have no idea on the procedures of how it all works. Baby girl lives in Baja California, Mexico which i believe is part of the HAGUE Convention process. Ive been reading up on everything but im stumped as to what the fastest way to go about it is. I really dont care if its a process for Citizenship or for GC. We just need her here.

A mexican lawyer said that we (wife and I) need to be living in Mexico with the baby while the adoption process happens and that it would take 6 months. And if we dont live there, that the adoption process takes up to 2 yrs. Some say that i can register the baby in mexico as the father since baby hasnt been registered yet but i want to do everything the legal way.

    Any help will be appreciated.

  3. So we decided to go to the POE in Calexico to see what could be done. They ended up giving her and my 2 stepkids an I-193 permit that give you a ONE TIME ENTRY. The I-193 cost $585 per permit. Since this was the first time that it has been lost, The commander waived the fee (thank God or would of costed $1755). Now that she is back in the States, we have to reapply for the Card with the I-90 which is $450 x 3. Then in a year apply for the I-751

  4. The unthinkable happened. My wife was mugged in Mexico. They took her purse with everyones GC. My wife and 2 stepkids have a conditional GC. Police report has been done and reported. Was told that in order to reenter the states, one needs to pay $585 per person. Thats a hefty amount. Question is, is that just to reenter or does that grant you a replacement Card. What is the cheapest way to go about it?

  5. Oh sorry,

I just read you timeline and see you are a K1 visa, so you are not at NVC really.

Doesn't the same thing apply to USCIS though? Either original language or English?

I was late and didnt put all info. Already did the K1, got married. Sent off the AOS and recieved RFE for not translating my wifes birth certificate from Mexico. Its easy to translate correctly but unsure if the "I certify" agreement can go on the back of same copy.

And i gotta update my profile...

  6. ive read a bunch of threads and cant seem to find the answer. I know about the websites that translate the Birth certificates but instead of spending all that money id rather do it myself since im fluent in spanish and english.

My question is... im going to use excel to get a almost identical translation of birth certificate. But in doing so, id take up all the space on the front page. Can i put the Certification agreement stating im fluent on the back of the paper or does it have to be in the front. Read that it cant be on a separate paper.

    Thanks

  7. Here is my situation. My girlfriend in the Philippines has a 8 year old son and I want to bring them both to the US on a K1 visa. The father got her pregnant and took off soon after and she hasn't heard from or seen him since. They were never married and the father's name is not on the birth certificate. He has never tried to make any claim whatsoever for custody. I am wondering if she would still have to get his permission to bring her son to the US with her. She doesn't think so but I am not so sure. If she does need his permission the sooner we know this the better so she can try to track him down.

NO... or at least in my case, father had no say in doing the K1 visa/ K2 visa. The only thing he had to do was be present when my now step sons had to get their Mexican passport. Once he signed for the passport he was not needed. I am now married, and her 2 kids from previous relationship live with me in the USA. The only reason he was needed for the passport was because he was on birth certificate.

  8. My wife is here in the States as a K1. She has 3 children, 2 oldest are my step sons of 6 yrs and 4yrs which are petitioned by me as K2 and the youngest is my son, a US Citizen thru Birth Abroad. When i did the K1 visa, i qualified for the Support affidavit but currently, i am couple thousand short of meeting criteria. On the i-134 i met criteria since i didnt have to put myself as dependent but on the I-864, i had to add myself as 1 more. I did send some stock options and everything i own but not sure if it is sufficient. In the event, i cant come up with another sponsor, will my wife and our US Citizen 1yr old son need to go back to Mexico along with my 2 step children. Ive searched for info on a similar situation but could find any solution.

    thanks in advance

  9. We just got our NOA2. My fiance went to get her passport for first time. In Mexico, they take your Original Birth Certificate when you get your Mexican Passport. My question is, at the Consulates office, does she need another birth certificate or will the passport do. She lives nowhere her city of birth and the town she is from doesnt do the online payment to get new one. thanks
