  1. Yokwe and Aloha,

    My wife’s green card is about to expire.

    We decided to go ahead and apply for her US Citizenship. She is originally from Canada.

    We both work as contractors for the US government, and we have filed under the basis of Section 319 (b) the spouse of a U.S. citizen who is employed by the U.S. government, including the military, or other qualifying employer, whose spouse is scheduled to be stationed abroad.........

    We received an I-797C Notice of action requesting fingerprints (which we did at our local police station, Army base) and location of the interview.

    Our home of record is Houston TX, but we have been deployed overseas for over 4 years. Houston’s office is rather large and cumbersome.

    Hawaii is the closest location to us, albeit we have no ties.

    Question posed: which office would be better to do the interview, potential swearing? Either option has us spending thousands in airfare, hours of travelling. Hawaii is much easier though.

    Any opinions or information would be immensely helpful.
