He might not be aware of the above but whatever the motive or understanding on his part maybe point it out and state that as he doesn't and will not have physical custody then your son will have to wait until you get citizenship?

No my husband is not my son's father. What Im trying to figure out is, why all of a sudden he wants to do citizenship for my son, when he had 3 years to apply for it and he didnt (my son's dad is a born Jamaican but hes an American citizen through marriage) When I told him I can do it when I become a citizen, He said why wait when he can do it now, I ask him whats the rush and he cant give me an answer, just wondering if hes up to something.

Agreed with the above reply and also, you won't have your citizenship for a while, your husband's petition, once approved will give you and your son a greencard first.

Ok so about the cr1 registration number I remember years ago when I got my visa. The visa should have a registration number this number will also become her alien number on her green card.

Interview was schedule for 9:00 am Husband arrived at 7:30. He waited about 2 hours but interview took like 5 mins.

Questions ask:

How many people attend wedding?

Where reception was kept?

How many time did your wife visit you?

Who is the person in the picture? My sister

Wife ever been married before?

Do you know how the relationship ended?

What does your wife do for work?

Where do you work?

You grew up in the Bahamas?

Are you registered for DHL?

Awesome, pick up passport 1-2 weeks

Yes, he was a very nice guy.

Had 7:30 appointment. Arrived at the embassy about 6:45. Got called up to the first window about 7:30 for finger-printing, police certificate, passport and photos. Sat back down for about 20 minutes before called up for the interview. A nice gentleman was at the window. First he told my wife to raise her right hand and swear and took her fingerprints, He then asked my wife who i was and who the child was and asked if i did the filing. He then said to me "Thank you sir for coming" He asked my wife the following:

*What kind of work do you do?
*How did you meet your husband?
*What date did you meet your husband?
*What made you want to marry your husband?

He then asked me:

*What type of work I do?
*How many kids I have?
*Have I ever been married?

He then asked how long I will be in Jamaica, I told him and he asked when I expect my wife to come to the US, I told him I was hoping she could go back with me. He said OK, he told us to come back to the embassy on Tuesday to pick up passport/visa because Monday will be a holiday.
He was a very nice officer.

You have to pick the passport from the embassy not Dhl courier? I thought everyone gets their passport back through DHL

The officer asked how long I will be in Jamaica, I told him, he asked when im expecting my wife to be in the US, I told him I was hoping she would go back with me and he told us to come back Tuesday to pick it up because if we wait on DHL, we wont get it back in time for my wife to leave with me

Interview went well. Visa was approved, going to pick up visa on Tuesday from Embassy because Monday will be a holiday.

We got January 21. But we got it on December 2nd and we got the email same day.

Quick question.... I have the original copy of the affidavit of support do I also need the photo copy of the tax papers? The list I got in the packet was only requesting original BC and Passport but I want to be sure.

I checked the CEAC website and it says issued today. Guess it will be available for pick up next week. I would like to thank the members of this site for their support. We really appreciate it. This forum was absolutely a wonderful resource during this process.

So I left this out but hubby printed out a bunch of pics And accidentally included 1 inappropriate one. It's not horrible but truly for our eyes only (don't judge, we were on vacation). I yelled at him and told him absolutely not,don't bring it. He swore he took it out but after the interview he was goin through them and saw the inappropriate one right in the middle of the stack. The CO looked at every single pic and his mood changed tremendously after seeing the pics and hubby was approved a minute later.

Not saying that's why we were approved but his interview was Friday and our status changes to Issued today so something worked input favor. Lmao.
