Why were you concerned that they would pull your file?

Because that's what the rep told me lol. I maybe shouldn't rely on reps too much but she said they pull your file to review it, so it could actually delay you if you were about to get an interview.

I would think if the interview letter specifically requests it, then you better bring it.

Now just because it is listed on the letter doesn't mean they requested it, it has to have the letter code that means they want it.

On mine it has the letter code F which means they did not request it.

We have an interview on October 5th. Our expedite was denied because the interview was already scheduled by the time they read the email (it was scheduled the afternoon after I called about how to request an expedite).

Finally received a reply for the expedite request. It said there's no need to expedite as we already have an interview and instructions.

So that makes me feel better that they won't pull the file. Husband has his medical tomorrow.

I do have a question. I'm the petitioner and my wife back home the beneficiary is to have an interview October 29th but i confused in the list of requirements that included petitioner original birth certificate. Is she supposed to take the petitioner birth certificate because i thought she only needs the original of her birthday certificate...

Can anyone please clarify on that for me.

If the interview letter requires your original certificate, then you must bring it.

Oh I thought you said they said your package sent Friday. If you want to call the embassy sure you are free too. The package I sent in the post fr you left friday. I thought you said that's when you were scheduled.

You should call NVC to see if your casefile has left?

Are you trying to change to an earlier date is that why you need to know when your casefile arrives.

It's OK. I ramble sometimes and it might be confusing.

My case still says at NVC. I don't think it was shipped yet. Yesterday, the 14th, she said our package was "shipping today" so I expected it to be part of the 15th's pickup, but it isn't.

There was a package sent on the 10th but our interview wasn't scheduled until the 11th, so I don't think that was our package.

I hope the CEAC website is just having technical difficulties today. I've tried quite a number of times to check in with our case number, but it always tells me it's not valid. That's worrisome.

I'm also getting an error trying to check visa status.

Congrats! We received our interview appointment email late this afternoon. So do you suggest not calling the NVC and just waiting until the status changes on the website?

There may be a bit of a delay for that to update? You can definitely call to find out if yours shipped.

The husband's medical is scheduled for this Thursday. And then I believe that's everything we need until the interview itself?

I found out that biometrics are done at the interview for free for Croatia. Unless my source is wrong.

I suppose other embassies with lots of traffic separate it.

wow received the interview letter just now! Looks like the only thing they want him to bring are the originals of his IV package and the original of our marriage certificate, which I mailed him last week. So hopefully that arrives in time. The mail to there is SO slow!

I'm glad they actually had an interview, because more than 1 rep told us they didn't even have Croatia's slots to schedule. He called today to see if there was any update on the Expedite email and was surprised with an interview time.

I'm very glad it is only 3 weeks today, but I hope it goes well and he is approved. I have a MRI soon to see which direction my treatment needs to go. So it's nice to think that he will be here in just a couple months and I will be able to get the help I need. Even nicer to think he won't have to leave after a couple weeks like he always has!

I don't think they did. I just emailed on the 11th after calling them first thing in the morning. So I don't think they've even opened the email, let alone approved it.

It looks like I just called a little too soon. I've received no replies at all and instead am worried they will pull the file from being mailed, which will result in a delay instead of expedite.

Our appointment is the day before the USCIS will stop accepting the old i-864 so I hope they don't want a new form from us as there is no way it'll arrive to him in his country in 3 weeks. I won't be able to send any of the data I was going to send. So he's just going to take all scans and printouts of what I email him and hope for the best. He has all his originals and I sent a bunch of originals with the I-130 package, so if they didn't lose that package then they will have most everything except an original new form i-864

She said it was scheduled Friday, apparently after I called. I wish I'd called later as to not then send the email. I'm sooooo worried they are still going to pull our file now and delay us.

She said the package shipped today, though I realize it is supposedly packaged today and picked up tomorrow. So I REALLY hope we are in that package that leaves! I'm going to be biting my nails until I hear something from the NVC. Hoping that at least it will change from at NVC to "in transit".
