  1. This is getting comical. Here are two responses, one from NVC and one from Montreal Consulate today:

MTL (via email) - "The National Visa Center (NVC) has not finalized the scheduling for September, yet. We are confident that the NVC will include your case in the September round of scheduling. We expect NVC to provide us the final calendar for September by next week."

NVC (over phone) - We have completed Sept and have sent it back to MTL. You will need to wait until MTL sends Oct and in order of priority it will be filled.

We have engaged our Congressional rep.

  2. lol.. They are probably spending time on facebook. Reading through this forum is part of work.

Anyways, since we have established in this thread, the biggest role in the interview process is played by Priority Date. For marriage based cases, it's the date when I-130 is sent. Assuming from your timeline, your PD is 2015-03-14, the latest person on family based case who got the appointment that I know of is suzannepecak, and her priority date is 2014-08-08. You have some waiting to do, unless they are done scheduling the ones with case complete and priority date earlier than yours.

I have PD of 1 Oct 14. Waiting....

  3. Just called NVC - my case complete is July 20th

The rep said many conflicting things - I have my doubts for any of the following but it is what she said

    - Scheduling looks to be complete for Sept (I don't have an interview date yet)

    - They dont have the schedule yet for Montreal

    - They schedule end of month

    - They give us a month from schedule to interview to get medical done

Hopefully good news by end of the week and that it is an automatic email so I don't need to call and get differing answers.

  4. Lucky you! :-) You never see 3 N/As until your case is complete. I yearn for the day I see that 3rd N/A too!

So as soon as I posted this, we received checklist #2 for the I-864EZ :( Am pretty sure it's a false checklist (asking for IRS tax return that we sent in the first time).

What confuses me is one page of the email says to send the docs in to NVC (IRS tax info we sent originally) "your case is on hold until you send the docs we need", but the next page says to make sure the applicant has the docs for the interview and not send anything to NVC, wait for the interview date "do not send updated docs to NVC. After we schedule the interview, we will send you an appointment letter".

Am really hoping its the latter not the former. Any insights? Again, I have 3 N/As so I am thinking I just need to bring "missing docs" to the interview.
