Does anyone have any experience with getting a police certificate from Canada recently? Old information says we can submit on paper, but the RCMP website states all submissions must be electronic, limiting us to "accredited businesses" if we are international. The accredited business also happen to charge $150+ for the service.
What are your experiences?
I did request the criminal record check report about 4-5 months ago. Sent email to several accredited companies asking about their fingerprint service
and decided to choose one of them based on the lowest fee they charged.
The company charged about CAD 90 (cardscan fee+HST) + CAD 25 (RCMP fee) = about CAD 115
Three days after the company submitted the electronic fingerprint to RCMP, RCMP completed the criminal check and sent out the result to this company.
The company scanned the result and emailed the scanned version and sent the original report to me.
